C19 Updates —Aug. 23, 2019

Edit: I didn't know Sanctum of Eternity existed, probably the most important card to be printed for this deck!

I wish someone pointed out the previously mentioned card to me earlier! Fortunately at my LGS (shout out to Game Haven of Maryland) a fellow EDH player told me about it. Even better, he had one for trade - apparently Sanctum of Eternity has been rising up in value due to Zacama decks primarily. I traded a Tempest printing of Propaganda - almost a perfectly even dollar value between the two. In case you're uncertain on how Sanctum works with Zacama or a bit fuzzy on the math, no worries I figured all that out so you don't have to. Upon Atla's spoiling, I decided to order her card to give her a try in this deck. Theoretically, she would be able to cheat out some extremely powerful creatures - and at her worst, deter opponents from attacking. Currently she's slotted in for Thrashing Brontodon. It's unfortunate to lose out on targeted removal, but I think Atla might be just the thing the deck needs when I don't have any big mana doublers on the board.
