Deck Overhaul —Oct. 2, 2014

It recently came to my attention that Lotus Bloom is NOT an artifact which can be played directly to the field from your hand. Therefore, my entire previous deck-list was... dysfunctional. The Auriok Salvagers + Lotus Bloom infinite mana combo does not work. So, I had to switch around quite a great number of cards in order to accommodate a new infinite mana combo (I don't have 12 grand to blow on 4xBlack Lotus, so that wasn't an option.)

Changes:
2xEverflowing Chalice --> 1xPerplex + 1xAcademy Ruins
1xGlacial Fortress --> 1xWatery Grave
2xGlacial Fortress --> 2xGodless Shrine
2xSacred Foundry --> 2xWatery Grave
4xLotus Bloom --> 3xPili-Pala + 1xPerplex
3xLeonin Squire --> 3xGrand Architect
2xMemnarch --> 2xClutch of the Undercity (Memnarch was literally never necessary in the old deck anyway)
2xTrinket Mage --> 2xMuddle the Mixture
2xPact of Negation --> 2xPerplex

The entire point of this reworking of the deck was to reestablish an infinite mana combo and then to ensure (since it is a far more complex combo) that it can consistently be fetched/drawn from the deck. I also didn't want to overload on fetch, which would leave me with a lot of dead cards once I had certain combo pieces out, so I looked to the Dimir with their Transmute abilities to give this reworked deck a control aspect which can also be used situationally for combo fetching.

I'm also clearing all comments with the release of this update as they all apply to the old deck (which didn't work), and thus are nothing more than clutter.

I am considering switching out Everflowing Chalice for 2 more Darksteel Citadel s. Even though the Everflowing Chalice is strong ramp, it still takes a whole turn in most cases to utilize to its maximum potential.

Thoughts?
