Welcome Commander

As the leader of an unscrupulous bunch of mech-obsessed rogues, your mission is to work towards one of the following victory conditions while hiring out your services to the highest bidder.

Victory Conditions:

Obliterate - Nukes. Warning Please ensure safety in tactical bunker Darksteel Forge when employing nukes.

"I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

Quote: "This is the best anime I've seen all year."
  • Akiri, Line-Slinger - Field Commander and Lead Pilot.

  • Silas Renn, Seeker Adept - Head Engineer. Responsible for Mech Repair.

  • Goblin Welder - Apprentice engineer. We don't know why we let him stay around since he breaks as much as he fixes. Guess it's cause he's so... cute?

  • Dockside Extortionist - Don't ask how he gets the money. Just trust him to keep the coffers full between missions.

  • Treasure Mage - Calls in either medium mechs like the Combustible Gearhulk or notifies his boss Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer for the big jobs.

  • Blade Splicer - She likes to tinker with and pilot her own personal light mech but is talented enough to pilot Golden Guardian  s and the heavy mecha produced in the Titan Forge.

  • Dack Fayden - With vast reserves of charisma, Dack is supposed to be responsible for new contracts and customer relations. Unfortunately, his light fingers tend to earn more enemies than allies.

  • Feldon of the Third Path - Sometimes a team member falls in battle. Feldon is a cybernetics expert, and will get anyone up long enough to get back out on the field... at least until the end of the turn.

  • Padeem, Consul of Innovation - The voice of Mission control.

  • Daretti, Scrap Savant - Expert Junker. Harps on the other team members about recycling.

  • Whirler Rogue - Stealth and Recon Specialist. Gets Akiri in behind enemy lines when it counts.

  • Saheeli, the Gifted - Saheeli leads a squad in the engineering bay. She might be field commander herself, if she were interested in the job.

  • Breya, Etherium Shaper - A versatile team member, being a 2nd String Engineer and Pilot. Capable of leading the group by herself if needed.

  • Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer - The master engineer. Doesn't personally do much piloting, but can unleash a swarm of machines.

  • Marionette Master - Logistics Coordinator for the team. Could anyone find anything without Marionette Master doing her job?

The Commander has the authority to select missions, distribute gear, or issue kill orders.

Equipment:

Pilot Special Actions:

  • Urza's Rage - Sniper Order.

  • Chandra's Ignition - Energy Venting from an overheating mech can be dangerous. Manuals recommend all personnel stand clear for the duration of the process to ensure safety. The Mercenaries view this as a combat feature.

  • Void - Targeted bombardment.

Engineering Special Actions:

  • Fabricate - Have the Engineers fabricate something specific for the field team.

  • Whir of Invention - When the machine shop whirs to life anything could come out.

  • Saheeli's Artistry - Saheeli has a knack for designing unconventional mechs. Every once in a while she's struck by inspiration.

  • Masterful Replication - Deploy two light mechs or upgrade all existing mechs to the latest Mercenary Company design.

  • Rite of Replication - Every Engineer knows the importance of streamlining production to an assembly line process after the prototype has been completed.

  • Fury Storm and Echo Storm - When the Field Commander and Lead Engineer work in tandem, the results can go beyond the scope of expectation.

Missions:

  • Storm the Vault   - Lucrative infiltration mission posting. Raid the vaults. Cause chaos. Keep the spoils.

  • Brass's Bounty - Lucrative Bounty Hunting mission for wanted criminal "Brass".

  • Spell Swindle - Did you hire the mercs? Or were you their mark all along? These mercs are rogues and won't hesitate to employ any trick to make a payday.

Corporate Sponsership:

  • Shimmer Dragon - Gain sponsorship from the Shimmer Dragon Corporation. The corporation naturally has diplomatic immunity while on the field (hexproof) though they may start to get cold feet if the Merc team isn't doing so well. The Corporation will funnel supplies to the team, and even can provide some small amount of air support if needed.

  • Smothering Tithe - Hiring a mercenary team can be expensive and if the the mercs don't like their employer, the hiring party can find a sudden extra surcharge on everything in the name of "taxes". It's quite doubtful whether the Mercs ever pay the state anything.
