Commander Legends Update —Nov. 7, 2020
As with the last few sets, Commander Legends hasn't provided anything useful for this kind of strategy. However, Wizards just happened to print a card so powerful that it will become a staple in every blue EDH deck: that card is clearly Hullbreacher. It is basically a combination of Narset, Parter of Veils and Smothering Tithe, two of the most powerful cards in the format, on a three-mana creature with flash. While it doesn't necessarily synergise with the deck, it is just too good to pass up. It's an amazing way of ramping while shutting our opponents from drawing cards at the same time. It replaces Netherborn Altar, which hasn't proved particularly useful during these months of testing.
