Welcome to the Manufactorium

This deck aims to build a factory. We need to get the forge burning, the assembly line running, each station must be functioning, punctuality must be maintained, thus pushing our production to new heights! Efficiency dictates that any waste be salvaged and re-used.

There are many ways to build a deck around Breya, Etherium Shaper, the plan is to find and re-use 1-mana artifacts, take advantage of untapping effects, draw tons of cards, generate lots of mana and make various tokens. In the end I hope to build a machine that grinds our opponents deck to dust, throws infinite crappy spellbombs at their face, or overruns them with a large army of manufactured goods.

Ever since Fifth Dawn I've had a soft spot for Salvaging Station, and finally I've got a deck that takes full advantage of this fun and janky engine of a card. I've always enjoyed Commander because it gives me the opportunity to build around cards that would otherwise never see any glory on the tabletop. Generally Breya is run as a combo piece and looks to go infinite as soon as possible, that's definitely not gonna happen here any time soon. Is this deck competitive? No. Fun? Yes!

Some fun cards/synergies:

There are 3 sub-themes to the deck that all work quite well together: token generation, untapping and artifact recursion.

  1. Salvaging Station: As mentioned a pretty dank card, I have included plenty of 1-mana self-sacrifice artifact utility cards that really makes this a powerful value engine. Voyager Staff in particular offers a lot of sneaky options!

  2. Not to mention Summoning Station, Blasting Station and Grinding Station, together all 4 stations form one of the jankiest combos in MTG.

  3. There are a few combos that use a few of them together such as Salvaging Station + Summoning Station together with Phyrexian Arena and Pyrite Spellbomb.

  4. Proteus Staff: this is such a cool card, it's great with Breya tokens and it can take out something scary if need be.

  5. Unwinding Clock quickly causes things to spiral out of control, combine with Shimmer Dragon, Proteus Staff or any of the stations starts getting dangerous quickly. Add Clock of Omens and things really start spiraling.

  6. Academy Ruins + Scourglass

  7. Arcum Dagsson + Thopter token -> Darksteel Forge.

  8. I just had to include som artifact-themed planeswalkers for the flavor. Besides, they all contribute to the overall strategy in one way or another, and Breya needs some midlevel managers to maintain smooth operations.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the deck overall, constructive criticism/positive commentary much welcome.

Thanks for looking!
