I love Quest for the Holy Relic . I feel that you would want Signal Pest and Glint Hawk in your opening hand, so i would get a full playset. Maybe go down to one of each equipment?-1 Batterskull , -1 Argentum Armor , then +1 Signal Pest , +1 Glint Hawk +1

It's a modern deck. Stoneforge Mystic is banned in modern

Mox Opal will help smooth your plays when you're trying to get those amazing starts but need a bit of mana boost.

I would actually take Argentum Armor before the blade. Just kick their land in the face and play a bit more slowly. Wittengar can be destroyed too easily.

First off, I would cut a few of the win-con equipment. You could free up some space for...

Faerie Impostor ! It can function just like a Glint Hawk, except it can even bounce your hawks just to get another use of something. I found it difficult sometimes to get all 5 Quest activations, and if each creature you have works as 2, it would be a lot easier. Also, it can hold a sword just as well as the hawk.

Also, if you stretch your mana to blue, you can throw in some deck manipulation, protection, and control. With the entire Modern pool, you can easily get blue mana.

I really like the deck! +1 from me!

I agree with @rarelaboratory. Maybe drop Sword of Kaldra and Batterskull ?

im fan f the WW moo white to but im thinking some shift colored stuffs may help to add some power

like cards with control efects example Spell Pierce, Preordainsome other cards like Icatian Javelineers, Leonin Relic-Warder for control may make a better job than the oblibion ring

about the artefatcts is realy needed use all the 10 equips if you are going to search for it?

so im thinking in make a similar verccion with just argentum armor and my old swords of fire and ice :) and let the rest in a old school ww deck with some control be creatures

still a nice idea good job :)

I would go out on a limb and only put in 2x Argentum Armor , with maybe a sword (the one that fits best in modern, I'm not entirely sure which one that is). It's just clogged hand space, and other spells are a lot more effective.

For some WU lands: Hallowed Fountain , Glimmervoid , Seachrome Coast . And some fetchlands, with one or two islands, in addition to the fountains.

Thanks for the ideas guys. you've really helped me out.

i think what i want to do is keep Sword of Fire and Ice mainboarded along with 2Argentum Armor s and maybe one more equipment. I'll sideboard the rest of the swords, just for protection from whatever i'm up against. With the extra space, i splash in some blue for control spells and Faerie Impostor .

testing on my own verccion of the the Quest deck i was thinking about a equip o somthing for "reuse grave" because when u game is in a advanced state you have nothing new to do

im just waching for may be somthing to rebird creatures or may be a small combo to play in multiplayer in sideboard

about the deck have you test with other colors other than the blue?

October 16, 2012 7:01 p.m.

Try 2x or 3x Mox Opal .

@vhan99 i just splashed the blue in today. mono-white mostly held this deck back, but i haven't had a ton of time to test other colors

@rare laboratory i originally had a few Mox Opal s in the deck, but i didn't like them so much considering i used them in a mono-white deck with spells with very small mana costs

What's Evolving Wilds for?

November 5, 2012 10:09 p.m.

dawgpanic says... #17

Mostly for deck thinning. I like Evolving Wilds a lot now because I can get Hallowed Fountain from it.

November 5, 2012 10:11 p.m.

No you can't. Re-read evolving wilds.

Shoot. I thought I saw someone fetch a shock land from Evolving Wilds . Thanks for pointing that out.

That would be more like a Jund Panorama effect. You need cards that specify land names.

i would suggest a back up strategy, maybe some anthem effects, just incase you dont get Quest for the Holy Relic , or atleast a tutor

You should really be running Erayo, Soratami Ascendant . Your already trying to drop as many spells as possible each turn, and this would synergize very well. Slap in an Ethersworn Canonist and you've got them in complete lockdown.

Sage of Epityr works nicely to smooth out most combo decks.

Kami of False Hope for a counter and a fog, or Burrenton Forge-Tender to counter those nasty bolts in response to your quest activation.

Bushi Tenderfoot or Kor Duelist on the offensive (seems excessive).

Salvage Scout gets you two for two.
