Rise from your grave! Echoes from the classic game Altered Beast.

Sedris leads the deck that commands key creatures to "rise" and serve once again aiding from the graveyard. Since Sedris, the Traitor King is a late game commander and in the many test runs he rarely came out early enough to start taking advantage of an early graveyard strategy. Whip of Erebos is your replacement effect for Sedris not being on the field, with the added benefit of getting you some life gain.

There isn't any hand keepers in the deck as it is more advantageous to discard those beefy creature cards instead of holding them. Most holds end up being the stifle-type effects and exile-type effects to either disrupt opponents early in the game or to help keep your creatures on the field by either disrupting the delayed trigger exile effect caused by Sedris' unearth ability or to use the exile replacement effect to make them remain permanently. Included a Panharmonicon to double the ETB's as most of the included creatures have enter-type effects, and also included Ashnod's Altar to give a sac outlet to give the opportunity to get more ETB triggers with Pan.

Tribute Mage is the fetcher for any number of important cornerstones. Fetch in an Isochron Scepter to use with Stifle or Siren's Ruse , a two CMC exile or stifle effect to keep your beasts on the field and beating. Fetch in a Sundial of the Infinite to end the turn to skip past that end step to do the same. In your worst case, use it to get your Sol Ring .

The Mage can't get you some of the other exile or stifling effects, but the deck also boasts a Conjurer's Closet allowing that free exile of one creature at end step, and maybe a free ETB trigger. Same type of effect from Teferi's Veil , as you unearth and attack with haste, everything will Phase out after combat until your next untap. Your creatures never leave.

Card and land draw are generally pretty quick.

Running a little light on board sweepers. Meteor Golem does some real work, especially with Panharmonicon on the field or a Mirror March (with a little luck). It works even better with Flayer of the Hatebound or Warstorm Surge .

Also included some tools to make ole' Sedie's ability cheaper. Heartstone and Embalmer's Tools help to reduce the cost of activating unearth. I found it was always easier to unearth than it was to cast most things.

A few notable plays:

1) Combustible Gearhulk . Cast from my hand and I didn't care if I was going to draw or mill, both were a great advantage. Not to mention, I will get a second value out of the hulk once it hits the GY.

2) Meteor Golem with a Panharmonicon in play. Convinced another player to return him to the field with their commander Kenrith, the Returned King . Ended up with 4 kills before he was exiled and I only spent 2B to cast once from my GY.

3) Puppeteer Clique was phenomenal. Unearthed with a Mirror March on the field. Ended up with 6 Puppeteer's on my side, claiming all creatures in everyone else's GY. There hadn't been a lot of mill or creature death/discarding. Unfortunately just before one person blew up my Warstorm Surge or it would have been the immediate game end.
