Merieke Ri Berit was one of the first decks I ever built when getting into EDH.

I have done a major overhaul to this deck.. Replacing a lot of the older, terrible lands for better ones. I have also swapped out a bunch of cards in general. This deck was in mothballs for a while, but i think i am going to bring it back out into my regular rotation.

Turn Merieke into targeted removal: Cards like Pemmin's Aura, Crab Umbra, Thousand-Year Elixir, or Unbender Tine can force her to untap, and if you have enough mana, you can grab creature after creature, sacrificing them each time she untaps.

Turn Merieke into multiple thief: Nephalia Smuggler, Conjurer's Closet, or Restoration Angel will let you bounce the creature you have stolen, and return it to play on your side, then when you untap Merieke, you dont lose the creature. False Demise, or the more mana expensive Fool's Demise do the same, when you untap Merieke, you get to keep the creature. But they have the added benefit of working even when Merieke is not on the board. You can enchant your opponent's creature, then Mortify or Unmake it.

And one of the greatest cards that no one seems to know about is Diplomatic Immunity (do not use on Merieke, or you will not be able to untap her), I would put it up there as an auto-include in deck that will take it, right along with Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots

My Favorite Combo in this deck is Beguiler of Wills+Pemmin's Aura, with that and enough mana, you can simply take everything on the board in one turn.
