Maybeboard

First of all, I'd like to start with a disclaimer:

The Deck is still a Work-in-Progress since I do neither own all of the needed Dual and/or Fetch Lands, nor Gaia's Cradle as of now to construct a fully optimized mana-base. The same goes for cards such as Nether Void, Chains of Mephistopheles, etc that sometimes show up in BloodPod lists.

Also as BloodPod is a Stax deck that is heavily optimized to combat one's local meta, many cards that some might consider staples of the deck are not present, for instance, Winter Orb, Strip Mine, and the likes.

My Home Meta:

Zur, the Enchanter - Doomsday

Kess, Dissident Mage - Storm/Consultation

Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge - Storm/Scepter Combo

Tymna/Ikra - Bad Farm Midrange Combo

Tymna/Kraum - MAN (Main-Phase Ad Nauseum)/Wheels

Tymna/Thrassius - Paradox Scepter Combo

Thrassius/Vial Smasher - Hulk

Tatyova, Benthic Druid - Turns

Edric, Spymaster of Trest - Turns

Jhoira, of the Ghitu - Stax

Alesha, Who Smiles at Death - Stax/Kiki Combo

Sisay, Weatherlight Captain - Stax/Paradox Combo

Meren, of Clan Nel Toth - Stax/Hulk/Necrotic Ooze Combo

Najeela, the Blade Blossom - Tempo/Infinite Combat-Steps Combo

Prossh, Skyraider of Kher - Food Chain Combo

Niv Mizzet, Reborn - Food Chain Combo

General Tazri - Food Chain Combo

The Gitrog Monster - Dredge Combo

While my home meta seems diverse by all standards all the above-stated decks are piloted by 6-7 players. There is an above average amount of stax and/or midrange value-based deck.

Many decks run Tainted mana bases, making the actual value of cards such as Choke and Carpet of flowers much lower than one would assume, Carpet is still worth running, Choke not so much (at least in the moment). However, cards such as Contamination and the Moon effects (Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon, and to an extent Back to Basics in blue) is astronomical.

Since no one runs Gaia's Cradle nor decks such as Tasigur which runs Cabal Coffers, Strip Mine and Wasteland don't see play here, due to lack of high-value targets.

Graveyard hate is also dimmed down to an extent since many pods lack dedicated GY decks.

Zeleous Persecution

Silence is amazing but I haven't really had issues with stoping Storm and non-Creature based combo decks. If they manage to Rift/Counce a crucial Stax piece of the field and go through that, so is life.

But lately the ground has been clogged up by opposing dorks and the similar, so let's get some Persecuting in! (Bonus trick: Saves a lot of your x/2s from Pyroclasms)
