NEW DECK

Welcome to the more expensive version of Balthor the Bullshit EDH! You may have been familiar with my older version here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tales-from-the-crypt-4/ which had plenty of whimsical wombo combos. Over time, i've spent some cash upgrading it, play testing, and forming into something even dirtier than previously thought. The deck definitely has a slower start than some other decks, which gives you ample time to improvise some wonderful politics. Though, as said from one of my friends, "Balthor is fucking bullshit, it goes from 0-100 real quick, like it's going super saiyan or something", and that's probably been the best description i've heard thus far. Though, enough bragging, let's get down to the itty-gritty.

This deck has a wide assortment of combos and tricks up its sleeve, the first major trick being good ol' Iname, Death Aspect , easily throwing a good 11 more creatures into the grave for casting Iname, including Spirit of the Night , Crypt Ghast , and the Triple K Mafia, Kokusho, the Evening Star , Kuro, Pitlord , and Kyoki, Sanity's Eclipse .

Plenty of tutoring with transmute cards, Sidisi, Undead Vizier , and a couple tutors like Demonic Tutor and Diabolic Tutor . Field removal with Archfiend of Depravity , Sheoldred, Whispering One , Butcher of Malakir , and even a Dark Impostor for that indestructible Platinum Angel that's keeping you from winning.

Sac outlets, death triggers, and ETB galore in this deck, along with a re-usable sac fodder Puppeteer Clique while Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is chillin' on the field. Oh, and need infinite mana for that weird Spawnsire of Ulamog chilling in that deck? Necrotic Ooze while Pili-Pala and Magus of the Coffers in the graveyard will be your best friend.

Magus of the Will helps you bust out some heat later in the game. Did you mill your Contamination or your Mortal Combat ? Don't sweat it dude. Need some more mana with Songs of the Damned or Dark Ritual to drop an Entomb and another Balthor the Defiled ? So no more. Magus is a one time "try again" for when shit just isn't going in your favor.

Everything else is pretty simple to grasp in the deck, overwhelm your opponents with lots of synergy, combos, trickery, and pure strength (or just Gray Merchant of Asphodel into victory). Once again, it does take a bit to get this beast going, but when it goes off, watch the table scoop.

(Removed ogre slumlord for bloodghast, removed demon of dark schemes for demonic tutor, removed diabolic tutor for living death) (Obtain bloodghast, demonic tutor, living death, deserted temple, vesuva, lake of the dead, and nykthos.)
