Welcome to Sydri's Junkyard

This is a deck that i've worked on for a while that has gone through many drastic changes, from being traded for some McDonalds, to leaving modern, hell the deck used to be an energy deck, yet here we are now. Currently this is an artifact combo deck utilizing all sorts of interesting cards, but of course the main goal is to combo off to beat the opponent. Obviously this isn't a competitive perfect deck that will win 20 minutes before the match even begins but it's usually able to hold its own. Now before taking this deck on a test drive on Tabletop Simulator or something it's probably best to figure out what it actually is this deck is doing. These will be categorized below. Even if you don't read any of the combos, thank you for checking out my deck!

Infinite mana is one of the simplest things to accomplish the deck, with it typically leading to other game winning combos.

  • Basalt Monolith + Forsaken Monument: This is the simplest of the mana combos, you get 4 from basalt thanks to forsaken, and then of course you can untap for 3 having a net gain of 1 each time.
  • Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth: Ironically, despite being directly after the first combo this one is incredibly complex to explain and rather than explaining it myself, you should just look up how its done.
  • Basalt Monolith + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius: This is another straightforward one however. Turn basalt into a creature using sydri, tap for 3, use voltaic to untap for 2 leaving you with a net gain of one. repeat this as many times as you please, although you only need one activation of Sydri.
  • Thran Dynamo + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius:Same as above
  • Dreamstone Hedron + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius:Same here as well
  • Gilded Lotus + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius:Same as above, however this one you can tap gilded lotus to get the blue you need and untap itself at the same time. This trick is also the only way to gain infinite colored mana unlike the above options.
  • Sol Ring + Forsaken Monument + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius: This one intrestingly can be used a fake out, as it isnt too suspicious to have a sol ring and forsaken monument out allowing you to cast sydri and voltaic to throw your enemies for a loop. Otherwise, same as the above methods, just requiring more.
  • ANY OTHER INFINITE MANA + ANY MANA ROCK THAT PRODUCES COLORED MANA + Voltaic Construct + Sydri, Galvanic Genius: This is perfect if you already have an infinite colorlress mana train going as by turning a simple mana rock, like an arcane signet or chromatic lantern, into a creature you can use all that mana to tap and untap for infinite colored as well. Note: Dangerous to use with any talismans. This combo can also be used to give other players additional mana for politics, however DO NOT GIVE THEM AS MUCH AS THEY PLEASE, set a certain amount so it doesn't backfire later.
  • Card draw is an important aspect in all sorts of decks, however these help ensure that you're hand is filled and ready for another combo, with some having their own win condition later on.

  • Sensei's Divining Top + Mystic Forge + Etherium Sculptor: So this is an interesting one, and the first of the SENSEI'S DIVINING TOPS COMBOS. With these cards out you are able to tap the top to draw a card and put it on top. however with mystic forge you can look at the top at any time and cast it, and thanks to etherium sculptor you can cast the card for free allowing you to draw as many cards as you see fit. the sculptor can be replaced with infinite mana but this is easier.
  • Sensei's Divining Top + Mystic Forge + Foundry Inspector: same as above except with foundry inspector, good for protecting against All is Dust.
  • Sensei's Divining Top + Rings of Brighthearth (+ INFINITE MANA): So, with this combo you're able to draw a card using the top, you duplicate the ability with the onion rings, allowing you to draw the top again. This method costs mana to do however, but if you have no other options this isnt a bad choice to quickly fill your hand.
  • Ad Nauseam + Platinum Angel: This is one of the more dangerous combos to go for as ad nauseum will allow you to draw as many cards as you want without the fear of death thanks to platinum angel.
  • Ad Nauseam + Angel's Grace:Similar to the method as above, however you will always be left with 1 health, helpful if someone else has a way to get rid of platinum angel as this method wont leave you vulnerable.
  • INFINITE MANA + Staff of Domination: You're able to draw as many cards as you please with this as you can untap the staff as much as you want as well. This combo will go into further detail later.
  • So now we finally get to the meat of the deck; all the various ways you can win. And further down are ways to bring the game to a halt

  • Sculpting Steel + Sharuum the Hegemon + Disciple of the Vault: This wincon is fairly straightforward. So first you need disciple of the vault and sharuum already on the board. after that you cast sculpting steel entering as a copy of sharuum. when it does you must sacrifice sharuum, however with the copy's ability you return sharuum to the battlefield, this time sacrificing the sculpting steel and bringing it back as a copy, and you continue to repeat this process. Every time you sacrifice one of the two disciple of the vault deals 1 damage to an enemy, and as this is an infinite combo, you deal infinite damage.
  • Phyrexian Metamorph + Sharuum the Hegemon + Disciple of the Vault: exact same as above, except instead of sculpting steel you use phyrexian metamorph.
  • Time Sieve + Thopter Assembly: This is an incredibly straight forward way for infinite turns. You play thopter assembly, wait until your next upkeep, gain the 5 thopters, then use time sieve to sacrifice them. You then play thopter assembly again, and when you pass to your next turn you'll gain five more thopters. this can be done as many times as you want, its up to you as to what you do with those turns.
  • (Time Sieve +) Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek (+ INFINITE MANA): This is an interesting combo. Using thopter foundry you sacrifice the sword of the meek. when you do you'll put a thopter onto the battlefield and the sword will return and attach itself to the thopter. This can be done for as much mana as you have available to you allowing you to create an army for potentially infinite life and infinite flying creatures. Mix this with time sieve and youll have infinite turns to go with it.
  • Mechanized Production + Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek (+ INFINITE MANA): same as above, however if you play mechanized production on a thopter youll win on your next upkeep.
  • SENSEI'S DIVINING TOP COMBOS + Aetherflux Reservoir (+ Sydri, Galvanic Genius): For this combo i'd reccomend going up to card draw to see the your options of base requirements to pull this off as you need and one of the top combos. Anyway if you do any of those combos with an aetherflux resevoir in play youll gain life on top of drawing cards. as this life stacks youll be able to blast your enemies once you gain enough life, similar to that of a storm deck. If you dont have many cards, you can mix it with the sydri combo below
  • Aetherflux Reservoir + Sydri, Galvanic Genius: So with this you can turn the reservoir into a creature and give it lifelink and deathtouch to gain back the life back instantly, allowing you to blast people as much as youd like.
  • INFINITE MANA + Staff of Domination: So i know i mentioned it before, however this combo doesnt actually need much explaining. you're almost untouchable with this combo. draw all the cards you want, into any combo youd like, play almost anything you want, tap down everyone's creatures for as longas you please, even gain infinite life. This is an end-all combo.
  • INFINITE CARD DRAW + Laboratory Maniac: In comparison to the last way to win, this one isnt as grand. You simply draw yourself out with labratory maniac in play and you win. If you want a staff of domination combo to go into to end the game the quickest, this would be it.
  • Darksteel Forge + Nevinyrral's Disk: Allows you to boardwipe every turn. Keep in mind you'll lose any nonartifact creatures and your enchantments doing this.
  • Mechanized Production + Treasure Vault (+ ANOTHER ARTIFACT): Most people won't let you get away with this, but ocasionally you can make the 8 needed treasures with treasure vault, 'mechanized production' an artifact other than a treasure, and you win on your next upkeep. If you read mechanized production all it says is you need artifacts with the same name, while some people will assume they have to share a name with the enchanted artifact. You can win this way just enchanting the treasure as well, but the other way is more fun.
  • Combos that don't fit into other categories are thrown in here, as well as any additional info on the deck. (though i dont plan on adding that info until later, Sorry!)

  • SENSEI'S DIVINING TOP COMBOS + Forsaken Monument: This is similar to the aetherflux combo mentioned in the wincons, however this method can only be used to gain life and draw cards, it entirely give you a way of winning. Though that said, you could easily draw into a wincon, like the aetherflux combo.
  • Padeem, Consul of Innovation + Phyrexian Scriptures: a simple combo that lets you give padeem hexproof, thats not all however. IF you mix this combo with Darksteel Forge All of your artifacts will have hexproof AND indestructible, potentially locking down your board. Mix that again with Platinum Angel and you're almost completely untouchable by anyone. This isn't included in win-cons as this technically isn't a win as there are still potential counters, although opponents will usually concede, or youll play long enough that you get to one of your wincons.
  • "Leyline of Anticipation + Unwinding Clock": While not exactly a combo, these cards work incredibly well together. Assuming you dont have access to infinite mana, you're able to keep untapping all your mana rocks (and artifact lands) with the clock, and thanks to leyline of anticipation you could use that mana available to you to it's fullest potential.
  • If i failed to mention any combos currently in the deck, please let me know. I do plan on adding more as i go along, however this list is a 1:1 of what cards im actually using, so it will take time to add them. Recommendations are welcome but keep in mind its not guaranteed they'll be added.
