Sydri, Galvanic Genius animates a variety of artifacts and gives them the power of life/death.

This deck is built mostly around value. Being able to turn any artifact into a deathtouching/lifelinking creature gives the deck a lot of versatility. Leaning into this inherent versatility the deck works to be kind of modular. The cards Mirage Mirror , Phyrexian Metamorph , Mimic Vat , Prototype Portal , and Stolen Identity can all either copy opponents cards to use against them or to pump out more of what you already have. Mimic Vat in particular has an interesting interaction with sydri. Normally you can only vat creatures to make temporary copies of but if one of your noncreature artifacts died as a creature then vat can imprint it (after that it basically works as a temporary Prototype Portal ). Kuldotha Forgemaster can turn some of the tokens being generated or excess artifacts into whatever is needed from the deck. Similarly Time Sieve can re-purpose artifacts to buy more time or just win (with Thopter Assembly ). Trading Post can get a little of what ever is needed although is mostly used for recursion.

This Deck relies on largely artifact based ramp, even to the point that I replaced a few lands with mana rocks (They can become creatures and have synergy with everything). But with so many of them it usually makes up for the lack of lands by being able to start ramping very quickly once the deck gets going (it does usually have a bit of a slow start often times). But this means it is often fairly innocuous at first and then explodes into big stuff. One card I have recently included works fairly well to bail out the deck if it starts to get mana screwed or just to provide land based ramp to back up the artifacts is Surveyor's Scope . With a fairly low land count (currently 35) it is almost guaranteed to get at least 1 land (especially against green decks) and with a chance to get 3 (in a 4 player game). Some games it is even worth waiting on land drops to then get extra lands with this (since it has no cost once on the field and gives you lands on the field untapped) and then playing land for turn. It is the perfect way to throw off opponents by sitting there with only 4 lands or so and then putting 4 lands into play all at once. It fits with the play style for this deck if nothing else.

Three cards in particular combo well with Sydri : Aetherflux Reservoir , Caltrops , and Staff of Nin . The staff and Caltrops when turned into a creature and given deathtouch can just insta-kill most anything on the board. Then aetherflux becomes a win-con if you have at least 50 life since after blasting someone with 50 damage you just gain that back because of lifelink.
