This deck, rightly named "Swamp Butt" uses swamp-themed creatures with high toughness (big butts) to block threats until late game when we can start switching power and toughness with cards like the newly pauper legal Transmutation and Treefolk Umbra from Modern Horizons. I've included awesome deathtouch effects like Touch of Moonglove and Aspect of Gorgon to ensure that we are safe from creature damage. Sheltering Word is here to protect our creatures and stall. Archers' Parapet is here in case we are struggling to get in damage over the long term and to block early attackers. Also, the opponent is likely to attack in with their valuable threat if Archers' Parapet is untapped only to receive a Touch of Moonglove and a dead creature. Watcher in the Web is absolutely essential in this deck and hauls cheese whenever it's present. Deathtouch on this thing is literally a cheat code, and it can take down airborne creatures as well. Rotting Mastodon , Catacomb Crocodile , and Wandering Tombshell are mostly for giggles (when have you ever used zombie tortoises, zombie mammoths, and crocodiles in your deck?) but they also have a significant amount of blocking power for their mana cost, and get even better with Treefolk Umbra . Rotting Mastadon + Treefolk Umbra = a 10/10 that can die once for free. Entourage of Trest will also help us draw what we need for a long while considering how little damage our opponent will be doing to us (if all goes according to plan, that is). We've got Wildsize and Evolution Charm to help get damage in late (or mid-game depending on your hand). I've included some ramp in Arboreal Grazer and Evolution Charm as well to ensure we make our land drops. The deck is cheesy and stupid, but overall pretty awesome considering what cards we get to play. None of these cards are good. But maybe the deck is, I don't know. It costs under $8 on TCGPlayer so you tell me. Anyway, give it a try and let me know how it goes!
