Surrak Dragonclaw, Bear Puncher

Commander / EDH Casual Ramp RUG (Temur)

Spoothy

This deck aims to use one of the few things Temur can effectively hold over our Jund and Naya counterparts, instant speed plays and card advantage. With Wilderness reclamation we can effectively get to double our mana with the wide variety of instants in the deck along with a plethora of ways to give our fatties flash. Things like Temur Ascendancy and Soul of the Harvest make inbound creatures into cantrips and our Rush of Knowledge effects mean we have fairly steady card advantage and can almost always average two to three draws per turn once we have our flash enablers. While this deck teeters on the edge of just being “Good Stuff” I think the speed at which we play and the level of interaction places this deck as something akin to the older Temur Monsters decks of Tarkir standard.

Are there ways to beef up this decks effectiveness? Absolutely! But one of the goal in building this deck was to keep it under $200 and it is never meant to stand up to CEDH tables where everyone has Golos shenanigans or Narsets cleaning house on turn 5. So, no matter what is said, Goblin game is staying in the deck.
