So here goes. I'm not sure if this is fast enough to compete in Vintage but it's pretty darn close.

The assumption is that the opponent is playing a $20,000 deck and probably doesn't have any creatures or any means to deal with them besides Force of Will . To answer that, we want to dump as much damage on the table as possible as quickly as possible.

With creatures, in Vintage, we can kill as fast as turn 2. We have a 15.5% chance of a turn 3 kill and a clock with mean 3.9 and standard deviation 0.658 turns. In testing, a significant portion of turn 4 kills put 17+ damage on the opponent by turn 3, which is as simple as a card:gitaxan probe, Ancient Tomb , or a few fetch lands.

Without a live stress test, it would be difficult to determine if this is viable as a tier 1 Vintage deck. Given the consistency and the metagame, however, it's fully capable of ripping decks that cost as much as a new car to shreds more often than 'rarely.' Which is a special kind of fun.

Chrome Mox is optional. With it, we're looking at about $260. Without it, the whole deck hovered around $100 which is pretty good for a vintage-competitive deck. Without the moxen, the kill mean was around 4.0 turns so it didn't add a LOT of speed; the spread was higher, though, so mostly the moxen added consistency.

The only other high-money card is Berserk which is absolutely crucial. Without it, the kill mean goes up considerably and the possibility of allowing the opponent only two turns goes away.

Anyways, there's the toy. As always I'm open to suggestions, and of course I still need a SB
