I'm running Pearl Medallion and Ruby Medallion in my build...they both really help speed up the damage/lifegain!

thrane Hi! Thank you! I have considered all of those! Shielded by Faith will be tested out soon, the rest I don't like. Sunbird's Invocation in particular I find interesting but am hesitant to try it. It costs a lot mana-wise for inconsistent results. I covered Sunbond in the primer: "This deck isn't really all that into attacking or going tall, and the two-for-one potential makes me nervous." Thanks for the comment!

I went over him in the primer: "The "you win the game if you have X life" cards: Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance, Celestial Convergence and cards like them are boring ways to win. I've played with them, and every time they are played they either do nothing, warp the game in an unfun way, and/or actually work, winning me the game in the most anti-climatic way possible. I want to win the game. I don't want one of my cards to do it for me."

Pervavita I don't like cards that only gain life. Without my commander out the become useless. Besides, Healing Grace is strictly better. Thanks for the comment!

Rabid_Wombat Hi! I don't run enough colored spells to make them all that helpful. With so many artifacts and spells like Lightning Helix that they don't help, I feel I'm better served by a Coldsteel Heart and the like. Thanks!

Suns_Champion: To inform you of my findings, Trapjaw Tyrant and Silverclad Ferocidons are good inclusions if you have more cards like Pyrohemia but otherwise not so hot for a spellslinger deck. You would be better served with the likes of Stuffy Doll, Boros Reckoner and the like. At least, That's my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

How is the deck going? Fun to play? Do you have many games where you don't do much?

By "don't do much" I mean, for example, get stuck because your Commander has been removed a few times

Suns_Champion Hey Bro, thanks for your response but I'm not running both Medallions for the colored spells in the deck but so Firesong & Sunspeaker can get into play a turn or two quicker as this deck really needs them in play to have a chance of winning! I'd totally lost interest in EDH but since you posted this list I'm going to have to drop by my FLGS with my Super Smash Boros deck :D

TheACTR thanks for the report! I think they''ll be good in some builds but maybe not a great fit in mine.

RobsJourney the deck runs great! Tons of fun to play, it fits my playstyle very well. You can check out some of the games I've played in "The Accolades" section. There are some games where I don't get any ramp and just die to faster decks. 6cmc is a lot for a commander and the deck can get easily outpaced by Mizzix or Ezuri who go infinite often in my meta. But the deck doesn't really need the commander to win, as there are alternative paths to victory like Sunforger or Neheb. But either way I have fun and my playgroup seems to like it so it's good for me :)

Rabid_Wombat That's fair! I use Sol Ring, Generator Servant, Worn Powerstone, and Coalition Relic to get them out turn 4. Works great! And wow! I'm glad the deck has reignited a love for EDH for ya! Thanks, that means a lot!

Hey, great list! It inspired me to create my own deck. I've always wanted a boros edh deck and this is perfect. One card that was just spoiled, "bonus round" seems perfect and it is already gaining a spot in my deck.

Hey! I was wondering a few things about the coding on the deck. First of all, how did you get the pictures inside the panels? I haven't been able to find a clear answer in the forums. Also, what dimensions did you crop the pictures in the panels to? I'm not sure if the dimensions have to be specific but I'd like to hope they don't have to. Do you mind replying on my profile so that I can save your reply? And one last thing, I saw panel pictures very much like yours on another deck that was recently cycled, is there an easy way to make the pictures?

Can you share your experiences with the ramp cards that you included in your decklist? Suppose you get FSSS out on turn 4, then what? Do those mana rocks get you to your win condition faster or do you find yourself executing your win plan late game even without those mana rocks?

My feeling is that this is not a fast deck and it will never be (as fast as other fast decks). So would additional mass removal be a better alternative?

My other feeling is that this deck doesn't win by incremental life loss via burn, rather you have one explosive turn and you take out a few players with a big burn spell/spells. You bide your time, stabilize the board until the path is clear and then you go off. I'm not convinced of the value that lightning bolt or even lightning helix and the likes has in your deck. I get the radiate interaction but outside of that, even 6 life and 9 damage seems lackluster when a single volcanic fallout can net you comparable if not more life and hit multiple creatures like mana dorks and players which generate fuel for Neheb.

At least that is how I see this commander playing out. That's how I built my FSSS deck. I'd be curious what you think of some of the strategies there. Prometheus: Firesong & Sunspeaker EDH

Hey, great deck! Love burn decks in modern and they never get any love in commander. Wanted to make a deck very similar to this one. Any thoughts on Gift of Immortality or maybe some Paradox Engine + Isochron Scepter combos?

Maybe even an Alhammarret's Archive?

With this basic count and needing always needing card advantage in Boros, consider Land Tax/Scroll Rack?

This deck is great fun to play but man..it really draws the hate in my crew due to the crazy amount of damage and life gain that it can dish out.

As a result I've added Apostle's Blessing for added protection.

Browbeat earned a slot too as in this deck it may as well read "Draw Three Cards" ;)

Hey there, here's some things ive added to my take of this list:

Have you considered Reverberate instead of Radiate? I know it doesn't make as many copies, but it is Sunforgable and able to be imprinted on Isochron scepter.

Mind's Eye for additional card draw, especially against Blue.

Grand Abolisher so Black and Blue cannot interact with your turn.

Ghirapur Orrery, for when you're Hellbent on your turn.

Silence, for obvious reasons

Kher Keep, for when you cant seem to keep creatures on board to equip Forger to.

Also Just a silly card, Mana Tithe, because the look on an opponent's face when they tap out to play their commander and you counter it in White is just great (Pet idea)

I would like to mention your list helped tremendously when building my deck, so thank you for that! Just wondered about your thoughts on these potential changes.

Roshell glad you could find some inspiration! Not a huge fan of Bonus Round because it could help enemy removal and it's sorcery speed!

Onigma Good thoughts and questions!

The ramp helps. The deck relies a lot on F&S so I want them out ASAP, and all the ramp helps with the recastablility of my commander as well. Then the ramp can help fuel my X-spells when Neheb or T-Ogre aren't around, insuring I don't have a dead X-Spell in my hand.

My deck is built this way intentionally. Mainly because I want to utilize Sunforger to the max. It's risky because the deck isn't as effective as it could be, but man when I equip Sunforger with RW open, I can take over the game.

I like the incremental lifegain because it buys me time to find my big bombs. It stabilizes my life total even after early aggression, allowing me to live into the late game to recast my commander and then play a big X-spell.

Eklipse87 All great cards that have been cut to make room for other things. The Paradox Engine + Isochron Scepter combo I'm still trying to figure out if I like and what to cut for it.

FiddlerTheDrum good cards, but too expensive. I'm pretty content with my ramp and draw at the moment.

• Mind's Eye is just sub par in my opinion. I'm content with the draw I have currently
• Grand Abolisher is nice but I don't need him for my meta
• Ghirapur Orrery Is a no. Can't help my opponents like that. And I'm rarely hellbent due to good draw and conservative playing of instant speed removal, fogs, and redirects.
• Kher Keep is nice I'll consider it!

Oh hello thijmnesoy! Yes this deck is very similar to Neheb! I love both but Neheb will always be my baby :)

If you want a copy spell that can copy one instant or sorcery spell more than two times, you need to check out Fury Storm from C18. I'm gonna put it in my Neheb deck. check my profile if your interested in that deck.

You might want to know that Painter's Servant is banned in Commander.
