Sideboard

Maybeboard

A spike-focused deck that utilizes +1 counters and charge counters to generate massive creatures and mana.

The main trick of this deck is using cards like Winding Constrictor and Hardened Scales , which in tandem with Spike Feeder nets large amounts of +1 counters for small amounts of mana. Everything in the deck goes to supporting the idea of laundering counters. Massive amounts of mana can be created using the Gyre Sage evolve ability, and with Burst of Strength you'll be well set for mana.

Cards like Power Conduit can use charge counters ( Mirrodin's Core or Ratchet Bomb ) to create +1 counters, or use the +1 counters you already have to net value, and Training Grounds can double your earnings, as well as limit the downside of using a Salt Road Quartermasters

Once you have an engine set up, there are several outs. Spike feeder already has an amazing life gain ability tacked onto itself, but cards like Sage of Hours and Walking Ballista also provide outs in the case that smashing face isn't optimal.

The sideboard contains several different tools for different match ups. Cauldron Haze is great against creature removal, and can even negate wrath effects. Scavenging Ooze is our choice for graveyard hate, as although its more selective, it can become a massive beater in its own right. Spike Tiller can help us get around a fatal push/inquisition of kozilek-heavy matchup.

Overall this is a fun and dynamic deck that can preform well in many matchups while have multiple different "outs" to help secure the game. As most of the deck revolves around activated abilities, you can save almost all of your laundering for your opponents combat or end step, being able to adapt and make choices on the fly. Personally this deck has been a huge passion project so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.
