Round 1 vs Burn 2-1 Win

I took out the kitchen Finks and filigree familiar from the deck to main 2 Collective brutality. I drew 1 of them Game 1 and was able to witness it back a couple times. I think I cast it 4 times and won the game. Game 2 I had to ignore his turn one goblin guide too long because I had to remove two ediolons and it was too much to overcome. Game 3 I got 2 Collective brutality and 2 countersqualls and one the game with Witness and snap beats.

Round 2 vs Ad Nauseum 0-2 Loss

I realized it's nearly unwinable Game 1, lost turn 3. Game 2 I went for a gifts ungiven when he had 4 mana. Unfortunately he had double spirit guide....into angels grace and ad nuaseum. Spirit guide needs banned.

Round 3 Vs Green Elf Eldrazi?? 2-0 Win

Idk what this was. Just a newer player, playing with the cards that he had and it was an easy 2-0.

Round 4 vs Jund 0-1-1 Loss

This round really made me sad. I had game one but I punted it bad... I was at three life and had Deprive up. He played a goyf and I was thinking if I counter this I can win next turn on the swing back. But I could have played around the bolt and just lit it resolve because I had a hangarback at 5 counters and I could have killed him eventually that way. But I countered it and being tapped out he played a bolt that he probably drew that turn. So frustrating... Game 2 he was so lucky...he drew 3 straight bloodbraids but I was able to take care of everything on board and stabilize even through all that. I traversed for Thrun and wasn't able to cast it the same turn. His turn he top decks a 4th bloodbraid and it cascades into k-command discarding my last card Thrun. I hate the lack of skill with that card, it's all luck. But we went to time but I was going to win the game with my manlands. So because of my misplay game one... lost 1-0-1

Round 5 vs Elves 2-1 Win

Two games I won I drew removal and the game that I lost I didn't draw removal. Lol pretty simple matchup. Just kill everything.

Results: 3-2

Should have been 4-1 tonight but instead punted another game. I think that like 3 of my 11 losses with the deck have been because of user error. But I really really like the 2 Collective brutality Main deck. I can't wait for Damping Sphere! Two are going in the side deck for sure. It will help the ad nauseum matchup as well.

First off, I really, really like this deck and the idea behind it.

A couple of ideas:

It may be a budget consideration, or just a desire to differentiate, but a playset of Goyf seems kind of mandatory in your Traverse deck with 7 different card types. With the main deck Search and artifact package, this might be the best goyf deck in the format.

Shriekmaw should probably just be a Murderous Cut if you're in a market for that kind of effect.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions! Yes I don't own goyfs which is one reason why I am not playing them in this deck. But actually I like that I blank removal of my opponents with not having them. All my creatures get me a card and then if they kill my witness or snaps than I don't care, they are down a card and makes them into two for ones.

Traverse isn't really to find threats. It just makes it so I can run less lands and it finds witness, snaps and then the very important academy ruins. It is also just to make gift piles and also makes more hits off of the Azcanta triggers. Goyf is better in a proactive discard game, where you discard their removal and drop a goyf and have other things that need removed like dark confidant and what not, so it exhausts their removal and you eventually get a beater to stick and win the game fast. But this deck is pure control and is very reactive. But yeah after all that... it's probably correct to play some amount of goyfs...haha it's just super powerful...my play style is just to have more answers than threats ha

Shriekmaw is in the deck because it turns all the traverses into removal spells and also gives a really nice target for Pulse of Murasa when there is no witness in the grave. Also late game it's a decent finisher. Casting it for its full cost blowing up a creature and beating them down with a near unblockable 3/2 is nice.

Let me know if you have anymore questions or thoughts!
