Round 1 Vs Blue jace's phantasm mill 2-0 win

Easy win when I knew I didn't have to worry about milling out with academy ruins and loam in the deck. Not a good deck.

Round 2 Vs RW Soul sisters 2-0 win

Game one he had to mulligan to 5, so it was an easy win. Abrupt decay is clutch to kill his main deck Impact Tremors. Game two I was able to get the greatest lock. I had both engineered explosives and executioner's capsule being looped with academy ruins. Then I also was able to gifts for the eternal command loop. He ended up scooping at 50+ life because he knew there was no way to win.

Round 3 Vs Sultai Midrange 2-0 win

It was funny playing another sultai deck because they aren't very popular. But tonight there was 4 sultai decks playing. My sultai deck was much more grindy than his. He was running a discard package and was doing Goyfs and Grim Flayers with stubborn denial backup. I had killed all his threats and then Gifts Ungiven for hangarback walker, Loam, academy ruins, and ghost quarters. He knew I was going to be able to get everything I wanted from the pile. I looped hangarback walker 3 times and he conceded the game. Game 2 he got a early ashiok that had me worried. I finally found a decay and my own ashiok. Finally cast thrun and swung until game was over.

Game 4 Vs Devoted Druid Evolution 0-2 loss

Game one I got stuck on 3 lands and he grinded me down to nothing. I think it would have gone differently if I hit land drops. I had 2 witness in hand when I lost. Game 2 he eldritch evolutioned for magus of the moon turn 3 and I would able to play magic for the rest of the game and died a horrible death.

Results 3-1

For my first time playing the deck I loved it. I am going to change the side board some here soon. Hope I'll be able to play next weekend again. I didn't get to play against some top tier decks but I think the deck would be able to hold its own verse them. I need to practice sideboarding also. I think this is the hardest deck I've ever sided with.
