Welcome to my take on The Gitrog Monster . This deck is completely dredgeless and plays extremely well without out. I won a Tabernacle in a raffle a year ago and was stuck on what commander would utilize it best. I finally narrowed it down to Gitrog and thus began my year long build. This deck has gone through numerous changes throughout the year with the first itteration being dredge. I absolutely hated it and decided to go with a lands matter focus. After a plethora of card swaps and testing, I finally have it where I want it.

The goal of this deck is to create a ton of tokens with any of the token generators in this deck. Then, give them haste with either Concordant Crossroads or Finale of Devastation . And, finally, swing for the fences and over-run our opponents.

Now, if that fails, we have our back-up plan. Our "plan B" is a land-burn strategy that uses Ob Nixilis, the Fallen and Retreat to Hagra to drain our opponents and, eventually, kill them. A fun thing to do is to get as many of your lands in the graveyard as we can and cast a Splendid Reclamation to bring them back and just straight up blast our opponents out of the game.

And, our final plan, is just straight up beat down our opponents with The Gitrog Monster until they lose from commander damage. A 6/6 deathtouch commander really can put the pressure on our opponents quickly. I've accomplished this kind of win a surprisingly high amount of times due to playing my removal at just the right time. Definitely a wild way to win and leaves the group in surprise when it happens.

Everything else in the deck is pretty straight forward. It comes packed with the standard array of EDH necessities such as kill spells, recursion, protection, ramp, and utility. With that said, please leave an upvote if you liked the deck and leave a comment if you have questions or suggestions. Thanks for checking out my take on The Gitrog Monster !
