My current take on Angels after Dominaria United

Serra Paragon Allows you to replay some of your permanents which is a huge asset

Archangel of Wrath I thought is would be the weak point but no. Splashing a few red sources and it can be really good. With Liesa, Forgotten Archangel you can build some interesting late game loops inflicting 4 damage and getting you life back. With the departure of beloved Eradicator Valkyrie it's the only lifelink (which is really important) and playable angel besides Liesa, who obviously stays in the pack.

Braids, Arisen Nightmare is on test, but allows pretty good interactions with Liesa and/or Paragon. And somewhat replaces Eradicator Valkyrie as Sac/control outlet. Still she's not an angel and does not fly... At drop 3 level there is also Wedding Announcement   that is nice.

As for the Non-angel Aggro part, I'm testing both Tenacious Underdog and Intrepid Adversary. Maybe the Adversary is slightly better, it's currently hard to tell. Depending on the matchup main deck Path of Peril or even The Meathook Massacre can be better than those 2.

I made the choice to go heavy on control but more aggro versions are probably playable too. It's just that in current magic games, a lot of menaces can really not be left on the board more than a turn...

update: Braids not good enough, and intrepid adversary more synergic than Underdog
