Commander Synergy (1)

The Paradox Engine + Mana Rocks infinite mana strategy isn't really my thing, so I've built this as a more Daretti-esque Grixis Artifacts deck, based around pitching and recurring artifacts. I've avoided putting tutors in (with the exception of Inventors' Fair) in order to keep the win condition varied from game to game. The deck has enough draw to find ways to win without tutors anyway.

N.B. This deck is deliberately not as powerful as it could be. This is because a lot of the really powerful artifact win conditions don't go down very well in a casual setting. I wanted to keep the deck fun for my opponents, and have it win in a more obviously telegraphed way, so people don't feel like they got combo'd out of nowhere.

Neat Interactions

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Counterspells = This may well be obvious to most readers, but I'll mention it anyway. If your opponents counter an artifact and they don't explicitly say that they wait for Mishra's trigger to resolve, you can tutor your graveyard for the artifact they just countered and put it back into play!

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Possibility Storm = Whenever you cast an artifact, you reveal until off the top until you hit another artifact, then tutor the artifact you originally cast from your library with Mishra.

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Blood Funnel = Non-creature artifacts you cast cost 2 less with no downside, as you let the Blood Funnel counter your spell, then tutor your graveyard for it using Mishra.

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Any of Praetor's Grasp, Thada Adel, Acquisitor, Hostage Taker, Mnemonic Betrayal or Grinning Totem = Whenever you cast an artifact which is owned by an opponent and also happens to be in your list, you get to tutor out your own copy using Mishra.

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Nullstone Gargoyle or Planar Chaos = Slows down your opponents by countering their spells without doing the same to you. Let the effect counter your artifacts and then bring them back from the graveyard with Mishra's trigger.

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy + Goblin Artisans = Not exactly broken but really sweet anyway. Usually Goblin Artisans has a 50% chance to counter the artifact, but with Mishra out, you can just recur the artifact with the trigger, meaning this 1 mana creature gets a whole lot better.

Win Conditions

Mycosynth Lattice + Vandalblast = This is really boring and will lose you friends. If you don't care about that, go ahead.

Hellkite Tyrant + Mycosynth Lattice = If you can protect Hellkite Tyrant for a turn, you usually will win the game on your next upkeep.

Monkey Cage = Don't underestimate this card. It's really easy to drop this and then play Metalwork Colossus for a maximum of 11 mana total, giving you 22 power of monkeys and a 10/10 Colossus. You can also abuse it by making multiple copies and recurring it, or alternatively use the monkeys + Mycosynth Lattice + Marionette Master as a buffer against a board wipe. Be careful playing it against token decks though, as tokens trigger it's ability and you get nothing.
