Just want to give credit where credit is due. The origin of this deck was Black Hole Son [[Primer]] by Ragnarok & Mervius.

Goals of the Deck

Though their version was more of a competitive build, my meta plays mostly "Optimized" decks, so my goal was to create a build that would slow down the game, prevent turn 3 combo wins, and allow for time to set up my Win-Cons. Also, with some of the newer commanders being as broken as they are (even for EDH), it was getting really old watching people Goldfish using some of the newer Commanders such as Chulane, Teller of Tales & Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, so I though it would be fun to play a broken deck itself if possible by creating as much Mayhem as possible.

Goal #1:

Slow down the early game combos by disruption via Stax. Yes, the very cards I hate to see played against me. Cards like card:Winters Orb, card:Tanglewire, Defense Grid, and Mana Web can be very useful early game. These can limit or prohibit early game (turns 2-4) combo wins. The theory is to slow down the pace of play.

Goal #2:

Remove the mana dorks and tokens. All of my removal is focused on removing the dorks which usually lead to excessive mana ramp for green players. I opted for cards like Massacre, Toxic Deluge, & Massacre Wurm to keep the decks going wide in check. I know they aren't universal board wipes, but they can remove the Mana dorks and are a pretty good hedge against a Craterhoof Behemoth or even worse a swarmed Triumph of the Hordes, etc.

Goal #3:

Punish the Storm Type Decks. Using cards like Polluted Bonds for the every so popular Lands Matter decks and Underworld Dreams for decks that like to draw 8-9 cards per turn. Also, Painful Quandary is just mean, but necessary.

Goal #5:

Gain some early life (equals Mana for Krrik) and attemp to ramp like crazy with Artifacts. With the game slowed down, the plan would be to gain some life and / or ramp with our Mana Generating Artifacts. Paying 6 life for a Vilis, Broker of Blood or a Razaketh, the Foulblooded doesn't seem so bad if we have some life gain in place. Also, 4 life for a Sidisi, Undead Vizier or Diabolic Tutor all of a sudden don't seem like bad deals to tutor for Win-Cons.

Win Cons:

Please comment and let me know of any suggestions. I am trying to avoid the Doomsday route, but would really like to hear about any feedback.

Thanks id advance......
