So I just wanted an excuse to use Zirda. Also, I just wanted to build the deck without counter spells or time magic*

The deck really just wants to be an excuse to legally run Zirda in commander, so that has obviously impacted the design process of this deck, a lot of cards seek to gain value out of his discount when activating abilities that aren't mana abilities. Having played with a few blue decks, I decided I don't want to use any counter spells or extra turn spells as a personal challenge, instead I went for some crazy spell slinging strategy (minimum non-creatures) with a focus leaning heavily towards a Red identity. I didn't want anything too expensive I've only spent £7 on additional cards for the deck so far and I'm trying to keep this on a budget (atleast in regards to additional purchases). The main game plan is to cast a large burn spell (or splashy effect) and then copy that spell as many times as possible for dramatic effect, is as close as a main strategy ever came.

*redirects and a single stich in time doesn't count ;)
