So this is the third Anax and Cymede Commander Deck I've built. I've gone extreme budget tribal, I've gone Enchantment Voltron, and now I'm going token wide. I had a little help on this build, borrowing ideas from Faytl's The Titans of Theros. Here are my other two builds:

So with this build, I wanted to focus on getting a huge army of tokens - fliers in particular. Notable cards are: Storm Herd , Assemble the Legion , Nomads' Assembly , Geist-Honored Monk , Sacred Mesa , Devout Invocation , Sigil of the Empty Throne , Moonsilver Spear , Retreat to Emeria and Ajani's Chosen .

Many other cards take advantage of all of these tokens entering the battlefield - Purphoros, God of the Forge , Impact Tremors & Burn at the Stake damage your opponents, Soul Warden and Suture Priest gain life, Geist-Honored Monk and Eidolon of Countless Battles get humongous, Goldnight Commander , Cathars' Crusade and Marton Stromgald make all your creatures huge... and so forth.

All that's left is to trigger our dear commanders as many times as possible to make our army huge and tramply... So we've got targeted auras to do that. In particular Ghitu Firebreathing , Conviction , Crown of Flames , Flickering Ward and Mark of Fury all can be brought back to your hand and re-cast on your commander for a few mana to start the triggering all over again. Seething Anger with buyback can provide a similar boost. Odric, Lunarch Marshal and Concerted Effort mean that if you can give your commander any of those great abilities, they go to all you creatures as well - first strike, & vigilance in particular. Also, flying!!!!! With plenty of fliers in the deck, that's an easy one to trigger.

There's also a bit of artifact/enchantment hate in here, because this deck will be severely handicapped if there is a Torpor Orb on the field. Also, hope no one in your playgroup uses Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - That's tough on this deck, and you'll want to pray someone else takes care of it or you draw your oblivion ring or you can kill her by a forced block with Odric, Master Tactician . There's also some enchantment recursion: Auramancer , Mine Excavation , Remember the Fallen & Silent Sentinel , as well as creature recursion with Angel of Glory's Rise . Dual Casting and Anarchist are in there, because there's nothing like casting 2 Storm Herd s.

Lastly there's the Maybe Board. It's huge! But in it I'm including cards you could add to give the deck a boost, but also increasing its price. If you have some of these cards laying around, you may want to consider adding them - for example, I'll probably run Gisela, Blade of Goldnight instead of Dictate of the Twin Gods , but I already have both, so price is not an issue there. I've also included 1 infinite token combo Elemental Mastery + Midnight Guard and one infinte life/ETB combo Adarkar Valkyrie + Augur il-Vec + Thornbite Staff & Adarkar Valkyrie + Bottle Gnomes + Thornbite Staff . Your mileage may vary.
