Down in Slobad's Toy Shop of Doom™, a reckless savant slaves away, tinkering on his doomsday device off in the faraway 'Magical Christmasland'. With every "upgrade", he is still unaware whether he is nearing completion, or on the verge of setting off the apocalypse. To capture the recklessness and fume-induced whimsy of a goblin artificer, this deck plays several synergies centered on artifacts, and you are always able to scrap something together with whatever you have laying around. This means that the graveyard and the deepest corners of your library are within your grasp, waiting for a simple spark of epiphany to unleash an unstoppable Rube Goldberg death machine. You are as likely to kill yourself as you are your friends.

Philosophy

Synergy is the name of the game. In this deck, every piece has been selected to interact with as many other pieces as possible to ensure that there is always something to assemble. But, Like every good machine, this is a work in progress and some parts may need swapped out for upgrades.

This deck is a throwback to the days I played Mirrodin Artifact decks with my friends. With memories from before the days of public decklists and online card shopping - when you only heard of new cards through rumors, cracking packs, or playing with out-of-towners.

Several of these cards are meant to evoke that nostalgia by playing some older, janky artifact combos all my friends and I dreamed of putting together one day, but we could never find the pieces in our local gameshop. Assemble powerful combos from utter jank. Use Metalworker to do degenerate stuff like play our huge stuff super early. Blow up lands with Karn and Lattice! Turn Staff of Nin into a machine gun. This deck is about silliness and a complete disregard for the future in favor of assembling something good from your garbage heap. The possibilities are endless.
