This deck works by a combo of Slimefoot's triggered ability. Any token doubling tool along with Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Utopia Mycon and/or Cryptolith Rite for enough mana to keep bringing Saproling tokens onto the field and saccing until your opponent is at 0 life. If Slimefoot is not on the field or enchanted into something else, other options include Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, Bitter Ordeal, and Altar of the Brood to clear the field or progress towards a win.

The deck is made more effective with a decent amount of tutors (Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Grim Tutor, and Dimir Machinations. There are also ways to pull back important cards from the graveyard using Volrath's Stronghold, Eternal Witness, Noxious Revival, Reanimate, and Animate Dead.
