My super cool mono black Voltron deck, which uses either Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon or Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief to "commander damage" down opponents. Due to the fact a few people a feverently against playing across from the infect, I had to design the deck as Skithiryx as the only infect creature, with Drana taking center stage against particularly incensed players.

Being both 4/4 Flyers for 5, both of these creatures partially cross the Voltron hurdle requirement themselves by only requiring 10 damage from Skithiryx because of infect, or in Drana's case being able to pump herself to sometimes an absurd degree while shooting down flying blockers with burst mana from Bubbling Muck, Cabal Coffers, and Lake of the Dead. Burst mana also helps recast Skittles, as it will inevitably die many times in a game.

A pretty standard set of Voltron equipment can get us the rest of the way there, but a proliferate & +1/+1 counter subtheme plays really well with bother infect and voltron. Some of the better one's include Sword of Truth and Justice, which provides both protection and a power boost on top of adding and proliferating counters, and Unspeakable Symbol, which kind of acts like a back up Hatred in +1/+1 counter form. Throw in some control back up to keep the opponents off of you and we have ourselves some mono black Voltron beats.
