Sideboard Changes —Sept. 7, 2020

I've finally made an actual dedicated sideboard for this deck that is tuned for the meta as of 9/7/2020. We play two copies of Grafdigger's Cage as our designated grave hate for decks like Uro piles and dredge. It doesn't exile graves which is key for us, because it keeps our Drown in the Lochs online as well as allowing us to dredge our graveyard for Logic Knot and Tasigur, the Golden Fang. I've put in two Aether Gust for green and red decks, specifically fetchland reliant ones like Uro lists, where you can effectively shuffle cards back into the opponents deck in response to fetchlands. I also play two Mystical Dispute to hate on other blue decks obviously, but specifically Teferi, Time Raveler decks, which are one of the worst matchups for us. The two Blood Moons are in the deck specifically for tron but can also hate out most decks with very greedy mana bases. The two Young Pyromancers are in the sideboard as an alternate win con to board in, in response to our opponent's sideboarding. Young Pyromancer is basically the opposite of Tasigur, the Golden Fang giving us an army of small tokens. Our opponent's are likely to board out the majority of their removal and will certainly board out any aoe effects they have, Young Pyromancer will capitalize on that by going wide. Anger of the Gods is in the board as a non-tribal board wipe. The majority of decks that go wide in this format are tribal, but those that aren't like heliod combo, yawgmoth combo, and devoted druid combo, will get demolished by Anger of the Gods. Plague Engineer is in the board for the same reason as Anger of the Gods, but instead for tribal decks like goblins, merfolk, or elves. Ashiok, Dream Render is another piece of grave hate for decks where we actually want to exile their graveyard like Jund. It also shuts down tutor abilities which is powerful against some more fringe lists. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a wonderful card to grind out games. It gives us lifelink healing, as well as soft grave hate against cards that we kill, AS WELL AS turning our opponents dead creatures into zombies. If we get to untap with it we are almost guaranteed to gain an absurd amount of value, its incredible against decks like humans, jund, or any other grindy matchup. Keranos, God of Storms is the last card in our sideboard. It is in the deck for grindy matchups and specifically control mirrors. Keranos will singe handedly win us games if left unchecked, and its indestructible means it often will be. It also lets us bolt creatures and control the board against decks like Jund, and it lets us bolt the face in control mirrors.

Maybe some Handdisruption to fill for Drown in the Loch?
