This deck is my primary Voltron deck. I took heavy inspiration from linksdeity, but this creation has been adapted to my own playstyle and to my interpretations of the mentality of the Sith from Star Wars.

This deck seeks power by channeling your rage, aggression, and impulsiveness into sudden, brutal attacks. Leaving nothing behind in your quest for vengeance and power.

The path to victory involves throwing all of your resources to spite your opponents, and make them feel twice the pain you inflict on yourself. You will discard your most powerful creatures for temporary boosts, you'll spend most of your life total on card draw and punishments, you'll sacrifice your board state to watch theirs crumble. No cost is too great to rise above ones rivals.

Evasion shows your preference for subterfuge. Your draw spells are Sith holocrons, your swords are lightsabers, your kill spells are Force powers like Nihilus' Drain Life, your reanimation is total embrace of the Dark Side. Your mana multipliers signal the seductive power of the Dark Side.

I like Volrath's spin on Voltron, because he is in my favorite color, and he enables graveyard recursion as a side tactic. I love the reckless suicide black playstyle, and how it keeps your mind spinning trying to think of what else you can throw at your enemy. I love cheating huge demons and eldritch monstrosities into play.

Turn by Turn

Turns 1-5

Ramp and draw as much as possible. Lay down Equipment, defensive enchantments and creatures. Prep yourself mentally for the massive life payments and ritual sacrifice.

Turns 5-9

Cast Volrath and start swinging with whatever you got.

Anything in the Fatty category costs 5+ and turns Volrath into a fast clock.

Turns 9-Endgame

Most games don't last 8 turns with this deck, so if you are here go back to the last step.

Winning (Like Charlie Sheen)

Usually via Commander damage (or with Tainted Strike)

Other viable creatures to beat into the red zone are Blightsteel Colossus, a giant demon, or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

All Is Dust + It That Betrays

Discarding Draco to Volrath. I don't care who you are, spending two mana to say "Volrath gets +16/+16 until end of turn." never gets old.

Instant speed recursion like Chainer or Necromancy is really useful when Necropotence is out, or when you want to res a shuffling Eldrazi/Colossus.

Pestilence Demon + Lifelink

The look of horror on your opponents face as you spend 10-20 life on Necropotence..

Alternate Commanders

Erebos makes a more grindy match, but it is sort of doable. Sheoldred is probably the second best alternate commander in the deck because of the ramp and abundance of fatties. Skithiryx can serve as an alternate commander thanks to the basic voltron shell.

Replication across categories does not mean more than 100 cards. Just multipurpose cards.
