A U/G deck built around stealing your opponent's creatures with Simic Manipulator. But, surely that's a terrible idea, right? I mean, how are am I supposed to steal that monstrous Hundred-Handed One without using up a ton of +1/+1 counters? It's simple:
Agoraphobia
. Using
Agoraphobia
, I can lower their power by 5, making it easy to steal using the Simic Manipulator. Then, once the creature is under my possession, I can bring
Agoraphobia
back to my hand to do it again!
Let's talk about the rest of the cards:
Gyre Sage: Mana ramp that gets bigger over time is always nice, why not?
Hover Barrier
: Nice, fat blocker and a guaranteed evolve. Sounds good to me!
Deadbridge Goliath
: An efficient beat stick that can trigger most of the evolves in the deck. The scavenge is welcome gravy.
Zameck Guildmage: Like most of the guildmages, he really shines in the late game, when you've got a lot of mana floating around.
Forced Adaptation: Free +1/+1 counters? Sign me up!
Krasis Incubation
: Cast it on their huge bomb to save it for later. Then, once you steal it, you can bring
Krasis Incubation
back to your hand!
Experiment One: This is a good turn one play, the regenerate is awesome for discouraging removal.
Prophet of Kruphix: Sneak in another turn on your opponent's, which is amazing. Flash in a surprise block/evolve, or just scare your opponent with the possibility!
Bow of Nylea: All of the abilities are relevant and useful to our deck, I'll take 2.
Simic Charm: Flexible and useful for us. You can save your creatures from removal, win fights, surprise block, and more.
Vastwood Hydra: A nice sink for your Gyre Sage, and your opponent will be hesitant to kill it if you control any other creatures.
And there you have it! Please leave some feedback on how I can make this deck even better, and thanks for checking it out!
