This budget commander deck revolves around Kodama of the East Tree's ability to get way too much value from our permanents. Especially, the deck is built to take advantage of the interaction between one mana permanent spells and lands in hand - where the spell essentially becomes free and lets you build up your pool of lands. To be able to make this tactic viable wee need two things very much: Fast ramp early and Big card draw once Kodama has hit the field.

A highlight for Lotus Cobra and Tatyova, Benthic Druid here, since they allow us to even further break the rules of the game once we get rolling with several land drops each turn.

We thus run a lot of mana dorks to ramp quickly, and we run somewhat more expensive but more powerful draw effects (and a bunch of it!). The most powerful draw spells on their own are quite obviously Ad Nauseam and Peer into the Abyss, but since our game plan is to have a bunch of small creatures around we also run a set of cards rewarding us for this with card draw, Beast Whisperer, Coastal Piracy etc.

And what makes a small creature relevant if not Deathtouch!? :D Is a bunch of deathtouchers swinging about the most powerful plan? No. Do they offer some additional defensive utility? Yes. Would you like an excuse to actually win Fynn, the Fangbearer in an actually good deck and actually have a shot of winning off of his triggers once in a while? Well, I'll leave that one to you. ;)
