Gideon Tribal: Sigarda's Swords ft. Mox Amber

Modern Aggro Mono-White Weenie

This deck is looking to take advantage of the new Dominaria Mox Amber to cheat the mana curve in the early game. Ultimately, it is a mono-white Gideon-tribal, aggro deck but also using control for tempo in the first few turns. Sigarda's Aid allows us to flash equipment at instant speed, so after getting a creature (or two!) on turn one, we play Delver-style tempo with white instant-speed classics like Path to Exile, Mana Tithe, Raise the Alarm, and Disenchant. Path and Tithe don't work great together, so it's important to consider sequencing.

The ideal start is playing one of our 8 one-drop legendary creatures: 4x Kytheon, Hero of Akros   or 4x Isamaru, Hound of Konda and then Mox Amber and Sigarda's Aid. Obviously that is a best case scenario, but I am hopeful that even two of those will constitute a fast start / clock for the opponent.

With Sigarda's Aid on the field, we can hold up mana during the opponents turn. This lets us disrupt with Mana Tithe, add to the board with Raise the Alarm, or play combat tricks by flashing in one of our equipment. Note: flashing in Stitcher's Graft after attackers are declared means the creature still untaps the following turn.

An ideal second turn would be to flash in Dowsing Dagger onto an unblocked creature, flip it into a land and cast either Gideon of the Trials or Brimaz, King of Oreskos, or leave up the mana to flash in another equipment or give Kytheon indestructible.

There is some obvious synergy between Kytheon, Hero of Akros   and Gideon of the Trials, which is why Blinkmoth Nexus is in to provide another early attacker. Playing Raise the Alarm at the end of turn 2 can allow flipping Kytheon with indestructibility on turn 3.

If a Dowsing Dagger can be flipped on turn two and a Mox is on board, it's possible to get a turn 3 Elspeth, Sun's Champion giving heavy board advantage.

The Elspeth and Raise the Alarm tokens work well with the new equipment Forebear's Blade. And that blade works well by: 1) giving trample to our creatures that have "combat damage to opponent" effects; 2) pairing with Stitcher's Graft to move two equipment to another token creature for 2 mana and giving vigilance to avoid the downside; 3) Trampling over the tokens created by Dowsing Dagger

Other new Dominaria card Board the Weatherlight is included to help find solutions - just doesn't hit Sigarda or Path. Eiganjo Castle is more in there to be hit by BtW than it's damage reduction ability. I wouldn't mind finding room for a second BtW in the main deck, or may switch it to Open the Armory if finding Sigarda's Aid proves the biggest necessity. EDIT: Nevermind, Sigarda's Aid isn't an Aura

Still brainstorming on the sideboard. Disenchant seems great to keep up instant speed. Christmas hand curve could look: T1 - Plains, Kytheon, Mox, Sigarda. T2 - Plains, attack, flash Dowsing Dagger, Gideon/Brimaz. T3 - Plains, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. Opponent scoops to ridiculous T3 Elesh.
