Minor tweaks —Feb. 14, 2017

Changed a few card recently. Added:

  • Duelist's Heritage - Another enchantment next to Battle Mastery that provides double strike, and some nice political potential to boot! Does not provide ds when blocking though.
  • Heroic Intervention - Awesome card to protect Sigarda and all that is attaches to it, kind of acting like a one-use Flickerform but then better priced.

Removed:

Also thinking about switching my Ajani, Mentor of Heroes for Ajani Unyielding.

Cheers,

Beebles

And here I thought I played my Sigarda enchantment-heavy! You, good sir, have gone the extra mile!

And since you went there, maybe some suggestions here!

  • Starfield of Nyx for enchantment recursion every turn (can recur auras, and they don't become monsters if you don't want them to be ;

  • Soul Tithe to screw their mana or the bomb they've got on the table ;

  • Since you've got Green Sun's Zenith, why not play Dryad Arbor? Pay 0 for X and get a free land on the table.

  • More nonland removal as enchantments: Oblivion Ring (no target required) / Banishing Light (target required)

Otherwise, i'd love to try out this deck in real - it was hard to find suggestions for - most of the good and useful cards are there!

Get a +1 from me, and may the Host of Herons smile upon victory for you!

6 am at the moment of writing the earlier post, I've made a tiny mistake in the earlier post - Oblivion Ring DOES require a target. Sorry!

Hey Karzalar,

Thanks for taking the time to look at the deck and give me some feedback. Glad you like it! About your suggestions:

  • I never read the "non-aura" part of Starfield of Nyx, so I wrongfully assumed aura's would fall of... I will re-consider this card now :).
  • As for the hate aura's. Oblivion ring type of effects are nice, but in commander they have a drawback: if you use them on a commander, that just get's returned to the command zone. While cards like Song of the Dryads keep the commander in play. So I've prioritized those type of aura's over oblivion ring. The drawback of both oblivion ring and song of the dryads is of course that when an opponent kills off the aura, they get their permanent back. So with the remaining hate spots I went for aura's that get rid of the things entirely like Seal of Cleansing. Soul Tithe does look awesome and I will probably give that one a try sometime.

Thanks again!

Oh, and you're right about Dryad Arbor and Green's Sun Zenith. They make a good pair. Probably should run that as well.

I am still pondering in what deck I want the Zenith: I acquired if for my Mina and Denn deck, but the green only restriction made me switch that out for now. Figured it would fit nicely in this list instead of Eladamri's Call.
