Sidisi TastyFish is the sad result of a post-flash dream list. After I waited a month to receive my foil Flash and Protean Hulk I learned that these cards would be unplayable. This is the grief stricken baby of my brilliant ideas.

Sidisi TastyFish utilizes two main combos, the Eternal Scourge + Food Chain and the Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle lines. The backup wincons are Hermit Druid and Walking Ballista. I opted out of the traditional Necrotic Ooze as it’s lines have too many dead draws, and is a lot more prone to an early Graveyard hate piece.

The Food Chain Ideal Combo

The ideal Food Chain combo starts with a pre-exiled outlet card Eternal Scourge/Misthollow Griffin and a Food Chain in play. Simply cast the outlet creature over and over to create unlimited creature mana. Then cast and exile Sidisi, Brood Tyrant. Each time SBT enters the battlefield you’ll mill 3 cards. Once your entire deck is milled, flashback a Dread Return with the Zombie Tokens created by SBT, to return Thassa's Oracle into play.

The Food Chain Regular Combo

The normal Food Chain combo plays out the same way, but you have to either cast the FC outlet creature from hand or you don’t quite have it yet. This requires one of the Forbidden Tutors spooky i know to exile cards from your library until you hit an outlet.

The Risk it for a Biscuit, I might lose this turn Combo.

T1, Bayou, Mana Crypt, Chrome Mox, Chrome Mox fuel, Lotus Petal, Swan Song, Tainted Pact.

T2. “F*ck it” hopefully win the game.

  • Yawgmoth's Will: This card is great. For you are able to recast tutors and ramp spells from the yard. The one downside is that you can’t exactly win with Food Chain because the cards that you mill from Sidisi will be exiled. It is quite good if you are actively casting and attacking with Sidisi early on in the game. Is a wonderful card at beating star decks in a grindy game. Just make sure to have that Walking Ballista ready to go.

  • Misthollow Griffin: Having one Food Chain target is good. Two? Well that’s twice as good. Good target for a Neoform. I tend to use the forbidden tutors very aggressively (Tainted Pact,Demonic Consultation and Plunge into Darkness) and having a backup FC target makes our lives slightly easier when attempting to combo off.
