The Twin of Evil

[Splinter Twin] and [Midnight Guard]. This two card combo on it's own is great, particularly before a combat step. However we are using it as more of an enabler. This plus the forge god kills the table. [Cathars' Crusade] plus [Altar of Dementia] instant speed mill.

Gerrard's Heroism

Why Gerrard isn't the commander boils down to my personal preference, and that his death effect is a tad harder. His presence is wonderful however, due to all those board wipes we are running. Paired with [Rally the Ancestors] and [Altar of Dementia], even more mill and we prevent Rally from exiling the army.

Even more Etb shenanigans

[Eerie Interlude] and [Legion's Initiative]. These lovelies let us blink our army somewhere else, to return them and stack all those triggers! [Champion of the Parish],[Thalia's Lieutenant], and [Cathars' Crusade]! The power right afterwards would be ridiculous. Speaking of power..

Congratulations, Conscript

With all this power, chances are someone else wants us dead. But can they do that when we draft their problematic creature at the start of combat? Did I mention this enables haste? Because...

Captain Keyword

The man himself, bestowing the whole army his wisdom on combat, every combat! Splinter gives the tokens haste, and the majority of the other creatures also have keywords too! Still not sure who taught him flight though
