This deck essentially treats the graveyard like a bed and breakfast, with most of your creatures dying and coming right back at the end of each turn (including your opponents turns) and all of the creature dies or enter the battlefield triggers you could ask for. The artifact subtheme makes the deck feel different than the other well known way of playing Shirei, that being shadowborn apostles. The all star golden boy lieutenant of this deck is Coretapper and his ridiculous synergy with shirei. Once you get Coretapper + Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker , and any of your charge counter artifacts into play the deck becomes a ton of fun. There are also a variety of infinite combos in the deck, resulting in infinite turns Coretapper + Magistrate's Scepter + Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker or Contagion Engine + Magistrate's Scepter + Surge Node and any of the creatures that can create two tokens when they etb can go infinite with Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Alter with Sling-Gang Lieutenant resulting in an instant win and others netting you infinite mana / infinite tokens. The shield and enchantments like dark privilege are there to protect shirei because as long as he survives, you can recover from a boardwipe better than just about anybody. That is the crux of the matter though, if shirei can't be protected and isn't allowed to stick around, your gameplan does sort of come to a halt.
