Maybeboard

It's a superfriends deck that tutors (with Sisay, Weatherlight Captain) planeswalkers into play. My goal is to be able to produce as soon as possible and start casting or tutoring-out legendary permanents. Most of the non-planeswalker cards support the strategy in some way. Let's get into it! Jumping off with the ability to activate Sisay (WUBRG on board)

The Sisay Sequence

Using Sisay, Weatherlight Captain's activated ability (paying each time) with no other legendary permanents on the field, here's the sequence to get her up to 7/7 as quickly as possible:
- 1st Activation: Oath of Nissa Sisay power & toughness 3/3
- 2nd Activation: Search for Azcanta   -OR- Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. Ayli is a great two-drop blocker with deathtouch that would bring Sisay up to 5/5. That said, I'll choose Search (leaving Sisay at 4/4) if there aren't threats and my hand is lacking by this point.
- 3rd Activation: Teferi, Time Raveler This is a pretty obvious choice as we're getting to the point where my board might be worrisome and preventing interaction is more critical. Teferi is the likely choice regardless of what we did in our 2nd activation, but I suppose there are corner cases where we'd choose Oko, Thief of Crowns (e.g. there's a singular major threat on-board or somebody cast Gaddock Teeg). For that matter, if our board did have other planeswalkers out and we picked Ayli in step 2, then Atraxa, Praetors' Voice could also be a fine choice. All that said, if we stick with Teferi, Time Raveler here then Sisay, Weatherlight Captain is at 6/6 ( from Oath of Nissa, from Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, and/or from Teferi, Time Raveler making 4 colors among our legendary permanents (+1/+1 for each color among them).
- 4th Activation: This will be entirely dependent on what else we've done and what the board looks like. If we simply want to add our last color () to the pool of legendary permanents then we can choose Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, or Nahiri, the Harbinger. If we have Doubling Season, Evolution Sage, and/or Pir, Imaginative Rascal on-board then maybe we instead choose a 5CMC (or less) planeswalker that we want to attempt to 'ultimate' this turn. Tamiyo, Field Researcher emblem austensibly gives us Omniscience + 3 cards. Teferi, Hero of Dominaria emblem starts to wreck our opponents' boards, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets emblem probably makes our opponents scoop (or at least forces them to 'burn' their first spell on each turn and effectively prevents any instant speed interaction on other players' turns), while Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God might just outright win us the game if our opponents don't meet the condition of controlling a legendary creature nor planeswalker. Most often in this slot we are getting Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God to put Sisay at 7/7 and set us up for the 5th (and what should be final) activation...
- 5th Activation: Other than Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, all the planeswalkers in the deck are now within reach of Sisay, Weatherlight Captain's activated ability. We should be thinking about winning the game now, and I can think of no better card to do that in superfriends than Teferi, Temporal Archmage. He's either allowing for more activations of Sisay, Weatherlight Captain / other planeswalkers by untapping either our lands/mana-rocks/The Chain Veil or if we get his emblem we are activating all our planeswalkers once a turn on EACH turn. Even better if we pair him with Oath of Teferi we're activating all of them twice on each & every turn...at instant speed. Nothing like responding to an opponent's Merciless Eviction with an instant speed Jace, Unraveler of Secrets emblem!

My Favorite Combo

Tamiyo, Field Researcher emblem + Tamiyo, the Moon Sage emblem = infinite casts of your instant and sorceries. Whether they resolve or not, so long as a spell(s) would end up in your graveyard it just goes from there back to your hand...to be played again for free! Same goes for any permanents that die after getting Tamiyo, the Moon Sage's emblem; put 'em right back in your hand and recast. Note that if you have both Tamiyo emblems + Flux Channeler and an instant or sorcery in-hand it should give you unlimited/infinite loyalty counters on all your planeswalkers. Obviously this would make it easy to achieve infinite planeswalker activations if you have The Chain Veil + Teferi, Temporal Archmage. This is a known combo so I won't go in-depth here (Google "Teferi Chain Veil" if you want more detail of how it works). I'd be remiss, however, if I didn't remind readers that once you have the emblem for Teferi, Temporal Archmage with The Chain Veil on-board, you can achieve multiple activations of your planeswalkers even on opponents' turns.

Emblems That Stack

Having multiple copies of the emblem for some planeswalkers creates an identical (duplicate) effect for each. For example, the emblem of Nissa, Vital Force allows you to draw a card when a land enters the battlefield under your control. Two of those emblems? Draw two cards per one land. Three? Yeah, you get the picture...

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria's emblem allows you to exile an opponent's permanent whenever you draw a card. Imagine how disgusting it would be to exile two, three, or (gasp) EVEN FOUR of our opponents' permanents for each card we draw! Infinite loyalty and activations sounding better already, isn't it?

Venser, the Sojourner See above and replace 'draw a card' with 'cast a spell'. Better in the sense that we can exile the entire board with both Tamiyo emblems and an instant or sorcery in our hand.

Tezzeret, Artifice Master's emblem lets us Planar Bridge on our end step...which is unfortunately not so great (denies us the ability to activate a planeswalker if we drop it in at endstep). That said, having multiple copies of his emblem lets us do that for each copy. Not too shabby I guess...

Elspeth, Sun's Champion's emblem gives all our creatures +2/+2 and flying. Two of those give our creatures total buff +4/+4 and double flying** (comment below on how awesome 'double flying' is)

Ob Nixilis Reignited. Each emblem duplicates the effect for whomever it's placed on. This might seem underpowered as a planeswalker / emblem, but you might be surprised how quickly the loss of life adds up.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance emblem does, fairly obviously, also stack for 10, 15, 20, etc... damage per spell you cast.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave multiple Kraken's at end of turn

Emblems That do NOT Stack

Having multiple copies of these won't change a thing so don't bother. Dovin Baan, Ajani Steadfast, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Tamiyo, Field Researcher (although the 2nd emblem does draw you three more cards), Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, Kiora, the Crashing Wave (although the 2nd emblem gets you three more Octopi), Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, and finally, Teferi, Temporal Archmage...being able to activate "on any player's turn" doesn't say anything about the number of activations, just timing. It's super cool to activate The Chain Veil, flicker (with the +2 ability of Venser, the Sojourner) another planeswalker after 2 activations, then hit two more when it reenters at end of turn (reenters as a new object seeing both times it could activate; again this assumes you have the Teferi, Temporal Archmage emblem to activate loyalty at instant speed).

Why Did You Include (cardname), Moran? [sic]

Artifact Lands? Because Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge gives planeswalker spells Affinity for Artifacts.

Dovin Baan? He draws me cards, shuts off an early threat, decently powerful ultimate, and maybe somebody sends their removal at him instead of saving for something more powerful later.

Ajani Unyielding/Ajani Steadfast/Ajani, the Greathearted? Because they help me accelerate the loyalty on my other planeswalkers. As usual, Ajani is just here to make others look good and exile a creature or two.

Only one Gideon (Gideon of the Trials)? In response, I ask why are YOU speaking ill of the dead after all he's done for the multiverse!!? I digress - this is probably the least synergistic/most replaceable of all my inclusions. He probably won't be around for the long-haul (how true) and (for flavor reasons among others) could get the boot for Liliana, the Last Hope. Alternately could be replaced by one of the maybeboard Garruks, or Vraska the Unseen as I really like her ultimate in combination with Venser, the Sojourner's -1 ability - I really want to win that way just once!

Sandwurm Convergence? It's a pet card and I simply refuse to cut it. Works pretty sweetly in conjunction with Moat to shut down all attacks (towards me).

Why Didn't You Include (cardname), Idiot?

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon? Eugene has his place but this ain't it. I'm using Sisay, Weatherlight Captain so I probably have valued color permanents at whatever CMC I'd activate him for. If I did include him it would ONLY be for his ultimate and that's not smart (never felt like bolting something was ever going to do that much for me by the time I got him out).

Karn Liberated? I like Karn just fine but in commander his power is substantially diminished by the number of opponents we have.

Jace, the Mind Sculptor? He was in early builds (as were Ugin and Karn) but, again, he's not as powerful in commander/edh as 1v1 formats.

On a side note, here's what I imagine his trips back home sound like:

[Jace]: "Hi mum, it's me Jace. I lied to my friends again, but Ugin made me."
[Ma Belerin] "Jeb...what are you...JASON EDWARD BELERIN you take off your shoes this instant!"

More Instant-speed Removal / Interaction? Recursion? My deck is focused enough. It's difficult to cover all scenarios and have response to all threats. I definitely SHOULD put in some targeted removal - The Immortal Sun in particular would hose me completely - but again I'm going for focused rather than optimized...and I am a bit exhausted running tool-box in every deck. This deck works and it can also be stopped. That's just fine by me! My planeswalkers are the centerpiece and I prefer not to deviate from that.

Final Note

This is a challenging deck to pilot. There are subtleties with many planeswalkers and even some cool interactions with one another that are hard to see until you've played multiple games with those cards on your board.
