Brackets Beta Update— February 19, 2025

Based on Moxfield, "few" tutors mean under three. So I make some cuts to tune down for the bracket system.

And "no intentional two-card infinite combos": Technically, the Keen Sense combo isn't a two-card game finisher; you still need to fulfill the discard trigger. So I think this deck belongs to Bracket 2.

In: Agate Instigator, Magmakin Artillerist, ________ Goblin.

Out: Brazen Cannonade, Imperial Recruiter, Priest of Urabrask.

Norin makes the combat phase very complex. Also, very useless when mana screwed.

Mako has big potential, I guess.

A one-shot goad could be a handy soft-removal to a problem, also making blockers less.

The Background, which depends on random discard, is unreliable and slow. Maybe Zurzoth, Chaos Rider is more fun, but without death touch and haste, it's unlikely to create any devils for me.

Tuning — July 11, 2025

+1 Impulsive Pilferer, Diamond Pick-Axe, Druids' Repository, Inherited Envelope / -1 Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Irreverent Gremlin, Coati Scavenger. I'm thinking ramps can make my post-combat main phase more useful. BUT, turn 1 Ravioli seems to have easily been targeted or traded, and wastes my precious turn build-up.

-1 Brallin, Skyshark Rider  ^Flip I moved Brallin to my new deck, deck:ai-wo-torimodose-bring-love-back.

+1 Worldly TutorGC / -1 Fauna Shaman Since there were already two GCs in the deck, one more GC couldn't be bothered.

+1 Aligned Hedron Network / -1 Bloodbraid Elf Bloodbraid is uh... unreliable. Swap to Brazen Cannonade for a week and find out it doesn't work either, first impulse draw for four can't make a huge difference. And it's only good with Goblin Bombardment.

+1 Rohirrim Lancer / -1 Taunting Kobold, Flesh Burrower. The ring bearer is a good strategy in both penetrating and looting. And Flesh Burrower is not fast enough to help with the combat in time.

+1 Breaking of the Fellowship, Force of Vigor. / -1 Lightning Bolt, Grim Lavamancer, Chaos Warp. Dealing just 2 or 3 damages isn't enough.

+1 Manglehorn / -1 Ancient Grudge Maybe one more stax.

+1 Skeleton Key / -1 Conspiracy Theorist Because Gallian's discard is random, therefore, impulse draw and madness are not quite what I expected.

+1 Shortcut to Mushrooms / -1 Cait, Cage Brawler. Cait performs meh in a low mana-curve deck; she never grows up a bit, and dies soon after in a wrath. Maybe the Shortcut could easily pump every creature I want?

+1 Cloakwood Hermit, Infiltration Lens. What am I doing? I've already been in and out of these cards countless times.

+1 Scalding Tarn / -1 Forest

Add the sideboard for the Bracket 2 situation.
