Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis

Kynaios and Tiro were the founder of Meletis, Theros largest polis. Joined by their loved for one another and freedom, rose to challenge the tyrant Agnomakhos, an immortal archon. The people rallied to their cause and overthrow the tyrant archon. From the ruin of Agnomakhos empire, Meletis was founded as a beacon for freedom and enlightenment and it's people chose Kynaios and Tiro to be it's guardians. Legends says that the gods of Theros granted the humans magic to help them overthrow the archon.

Like Kynaios and Tiro themselves, the player aims to build their own polis by casting pillow fort cards that will protect them from the treat of their enemies. The gods of Theros would then appear every now and then to grant aid through their chosen heroes or favoured monsters. The players would then need to manoeuvre through the game using their political skills to win the game.

PS. This deck holds a very special place in my heart for not only being my first EDH deck but also being the first open and explicit reference of a same-sex relationship in Magic the Gathering history.
