Substitutions and some explanation

Gaea's Cradle -> Growing Rites of Itlimoc  : As the Cradle is banned I think the best substitute is the Rite, which is basically the same card but with extra steps. The other candidate was Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx but for me, the Rite just plays better.

Survival of the Fittest -> Fauna Shaman: Although it is not banned it has a hefty price (160€ at the moment) and the Shaman has the same effect. It's slower yes, but I've never lost a game because of it just yet. So if you are on a budget I can only recommend the elf lady.

Birds of Paradise -> Boreal Druid: Maybe the biggest debate in terms of this deck (or any Selvala deck) but hear me out! An elf is worth more in the deck than the Bird, even if that elf only generates colorless mana. End of debate.

Priest of Titania: In a regular 4 people set up I'm not sure if I would play her, but this is 1v1 so there are no other targets than Selvala and the Priest is my "Plan B" if my commander got knocked out or stolen.
