Greetings and thanks for stopping by. This is my second cEDH build. Once again it is no wear near anyone’s top tier for cEDH gameplay. This time we are drawing two cards from the command zone and preventing sac outlets and even Force of Will s. Now it kinda messes us up at the end because one of the win cons to the deck is to infinitely sacrifice a persist dude and have it return triggering infinite ETB triggers.

A sub theme (and the reason it can compete in cEDH) is because of the stax support. These things are meant to make the game extremely grindy and even out the playing field. I want to develop board control and then Knowledge Pool + Rule of Law lockdown the game. I can also with Linvala, Keeper of Silence + Living Plane . This is probably my best and easiest to accomplish lockout.

Card draw affects like Ohran Frostfang , Toski, and a few enchantresses allow me to maintain card draw. Guardian Project should be pretty good with the stax combination.

As you can see I am also trying to take land mana advantage with additional land plays and also mana dorks. Lack of artifact mana simply due to the deck’s intention, but I can never leave a mana crypt or sol ring out.

If you have any suggestions, please suggest. Also expertise. I have not played many stax decks and could be missing key knowledge on something.

UPDATE NEEDED Had to swap out commander because it had too much of a role in stoping my own combos. Not going to cut it in the toughest format. Dragonlord Dromoka is a great replacement. Luckily I am able to produce infinite colored to play a Walking Ballista after activating Food Chain and exiling Eternal Scourge . I also mostly negated the persist combo by getting rid of everything but Kitchen Finks . Paired nicely w/ new addition Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Blasting Station . I also added in more mana and card draw production in form of mana bullies Bloom Tender and Priest of Titania as well as a few enchantresses. My last attempt (or first) is to dragonlord beatdown on some fools who can’t cast spells.
