A fun low to the ground sacrifice value deck with multiple type-cards. This deck runs 21 (or so) double and triple type cards such as Blinkmoth Nexus to maximize Baba's activated ability. We can turn permanents into other card types in addition to their type with Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, Liquimetal Torque and Liquimetal Coating.

The two themes of the deck are Aristocrats and Lands Matter.

The most efficient engine to assemble is playing a single card that counts as 3 permeant types (Blinkmoth Nexus) and a recursion piece such as Conduit of Worlds. We include a few land tutors to ensure we can find these efficient lands to play and sac. Even if this is not the engine we assemble every game, there are different combinations of permanent sac/recursion to reliably trigger Baba's ability most turns. Baba's sacrifice trigger enables our aristocrats strategy to seek value and deal damage while buffering our life total. Cards like Syr Konrad, the Grim will ping opponents and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest will buff the board when our permeants are sacrificed. Favorite cards to play to double the damage from Baba is Psychosis Crawler and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose.

Since we are sacrificing lands to our Baba trigger, the deck really likes cards like World Shaper. I intentionally do not run Reliquary Tower so we can put lands in the graveyard at our clean up step.

The work horses of the deck are bounce back enchantments, like Rancor, because they will always go back to our hand after we sacrifice it to Baba's trigger.

There is also Ad Nauseam in the deck, which might seem like random competitive card choice to some, but works quite well with our deck. If it is timed right, the life gain we accrue over the game from Baba’s ability will buffer the life loss from Ad Nauseam and this will give us a chance to launch into a wining position or retrieving the answer we need. Fog is the more random inclusion in the deck. I wanted to run one efficient "got-ya" card to prevent end of game beat-downs from our opponents.

There is a mild lore flavor based on the Slavic folklore of "Vasilisa the Beautiful". Baba Lysaga, Night Witch is the one and only forest dwelling witch, Baba Yaga who helps the Cinderella-like protagonist Vasilisa, represented as Titania, Protector of Argoth. Other cards that are on theme are Syr Konrad, the Grim as the Black Lord of the Night and Vampiric Tutor as the flame-throwing skull lantern that kills Vasilisa's horrible step-family. As I upgrade the deck I would really like to find cards that fit the flavor of the folklore without greatly compromising the functionality of the deck. The next theme include I would like to make would be Vasilisa's doll, but I'm not sure Stuffy Doll is the best functioning card for this role. Demonic Tutor promo with judge art would be perfect but it is too expensive currently.
