Testing two copies of Tyrant's Scorn for a slight upgrade in removal.

As a Mardu player, I really loathe Dimir decks I had some suggestions for a few different creatures but now I see budget as a tag. Regardless, this deck is well put together. What are your current match results with this? Also check out my Mardu midrange, Im looking to get a set of control eyes on it to help my sideboard. Divine Afterlife

Genesis26 This is not your average control deck. This is more of a hand-disruption deck that cores on mass discard. Also, give me any suggestion you can. The budget tag doesn't restrict the deck, it's just labeling the current form as budget-friendly since it's <$200.

As for your deck, Awaken the Erstwhile is hilarious against my deck, but otherwise very poor. Captive Audience is very cute but not very practical, due to being 7-mana in a 22 land deck. It's also very easy to remove in the current environment due to the abundance of Mortify . Risk Factor and Sheltering Light are also a little weird in this deck. I'd just replace them with token makers, afterlife cards, and Unbreakable Formation to protect from sweepers. Another option would be Cruel Celebrant as a Blood Artist effect.

Against control, in your sideboard, Duress and Sorcerous Spyglass are king. If you're worried about the masses of planeswalkers that could support control come WAR, The Immortal Sun is also pretty good.

It's a little weird to give suggestions for someone else's deck on your own page, but so be it :P

Hey, I really like the look of this deck! I have a couple questions, however, about it. Namely, is there any particular reason for you not to be running Vicious Rumors ? Particularly over slower cards like your Urgoros, the Empty One , or more expensive effects like Burglar Rat ? Secondly, what're your thoughts on the new Narset, Parter of Veils and/or Ashiok, Dream Render as sideboard cards? I can see the new Narset as being useful for control matchups where her passive would help keep your opponent's hand permanently empty, while also giving you some nice card searching with her -2. I also ask about Ashiok out of curiosity about whether you think she's better graveyard hate than the Sentinel Totem . She is slower and harder to cast, but she's reusable and only clears your opponent's graveyard while also milling them slightly. Finally, what do you think about Tyrant's Scorn ? I think it seems like a perfect fit for the deck, providing efficient removal in the early-game, and then becoming efficient removal for any creature in the late-game with its second mode.
