This deck is pretty generic as far as the Ixalan tribe goes, with a few additions.

I found that I ended up with a lot of +1/+1 counters just by the nature of the deck, so naturally Merfolk Skydiver was a shoe in. 5 mana is a lot to pay for a proliferate trigger, but this is a good way to spend mana in a stalemate. With all these counters flying, Simic Ascendancy is a nifty win con if we can get it.

Finally, one of the more underrated effects in Magic, the mass tap Sleep . Sure you could bounce a board, but its usually so costly and not as punishing in 1v1. When you put their whole army to Sleep , they are forced to watch your slippery dudes Waltz in for free swings. 2 turns of free swings, which almost always results in enough damage.

This deck is as aggro as it gets. Some stalemate checks to ensure a win if it goes long. A complex yet simple deck, and one that will always take me back to my first games of Magic.
