CASUAL EDH DECK.

I really like BG - Golgari. Savra came on my second magic pre-wizards deck, when Ravnica was on top. This is why I prefer her over Jarad as a commander.

Savra is more like a Token - Control EDH deck. It need to be built based on the commander, it's not that easy just to change to another commander like Jarad's or Meren and just hope that it'll be good.

Jarad is more like a dredge thing, and imo is faster than Savra. But Savra can be deadly too.

SAC ENGINES

The main idea here is to use sac engines, such as Phyrexian Altar, Phyrexian Tower, Flesh-Eater Imp and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, etc., to trigger our commander, Savra.

We are also running Phyrexian Tower, High Market and Miren, the Moaning Well as sac engines, since they are lands and can be easily tuttored by Sylvan Scrying or, if you want to add to, an expedition map, which can be really good for ramp.

TOKENS

We are running awesome creatures for tokens, such as Creakwood Liege, Grave Titan, Mitotic Slime, Skirsdag High Priest between other good ones. Also, we are running enchantments like Bitterblossom and Golgari Germination which are amazing cards to make us sac outlets.

We want to have both green and black creatures and tokens to be sacrificed, because we gotta fix our total life points during the game, since our commander make us lose health points when we trigger her for black sac.

CREATURES

We want creatures that are the real deal. Such as Lord of Extinction which can be really good on the game, since it's EDH and since we are running Golgari.

Like Reclamation Sage and Acidic Slime which gives us removal, and a good creature for sac, and also Viridian Emissary, Yavimaya Elder, Mycoloth. They are all cards that fit very well on this deck, not only to be used as sac outlet, but also gives us something more, like draw, or lands, or tokens... which is exactly what we want. Cards that not only can be used for sac outlet, but can be also useful.

Tenacious Dead and Reassembling Skeleton are cards that fits reaaaally well, as we can use them pretty much forever, for example, using Phyrexian Tower as a sac. engine. They are here for goodness, for sinergy.

Draw

Running Solemn Simulacrum for goodness, even knowing that it cant trigger Savra. Adding a Nim Deathmantle though, could fix this.

Skullclamp also talks very well to our creatures and sac outlets. No need to explain here.

Fecundity is such a great card, even giving advantage to the other players. It helps.Underworld Connections Also help for draw, but we need to take care with how much life we are losing.Phyrexian Arena is such an amazing card, I don't know how to express. Pure goodness.

RAMP

Well... this is kinda personal, imo. You can run lot's of ramp or you can run no ramp at all. I feel comfortable running lots of ramp, specially as we are going BG, and have the green cards by our side, such as Cultivate, Far Wanderings, Rites of Flourishing and stuff like that.

We are also running Astral Cornucopia for early or late game mana fix, in addition to Everflowing Chalice and Thran's Dynamo which could be swapped for a Sisay's Ring or something like that, to make it more 'not expensive'.

MASS REMOVAL AND REMOVAL

Volatile Rig for randomness. It's such a fun card to play. Believe me, at early and middle game, people fear it. It's pretty funny and talks very well to the deck, as if you lose the flip and need to sac it, you can just use it as a sac outlet for your engines.

Decree of Pain is our mass removal. It is expensive, but it's great. Otherwise you can just put Damnation. Gaze of Granite gives also a great hand here.

Tragic Slip, Putrefy, Murder are great cards. It could get along with Hero's Downfall too.

Swiftfoot Boots

To protect Savra and/or any other creature you might want on the board, such as Jarad on a good momment.

PLANESWALKERS

Vraska is a BG planeswalker that talks really well to the deck, but it also could be a Sorin Markov, for example. Imo its kinda personal.

Everything on EDH is personal. Remember to get fun with it, this is what matters. If you think the deck is kinda strong, or too weak, remember that everyone has a different playstyle. If you play against competitive EDH decks that can combo on turn 2-3-4-5 to win, this is not the deck you are seeking for.
