Deck Info

The Saprolings of the Weatherlight

I wanted to make a aristocrat-focused deck that does one thing and does it well: make Saprolings! I also included a Weatherlight and seafaring deck theme, following the adventures of Jhoira and Slimefoot aboard their airship.

Ramp Fast and Ramp Hard

Saproling production isn't cheap, and the deck needs as much mana as we can give it. Ramp that uses creature tokens is especially explosive, including Harvest Season, Cryptolith Rite, and Song of Freyalise.

Budget Build

This deck is built from cards I had already or cheap cards I could purchase. Obvious upgrades include Doubling Season, any of the other sacrifice altars like Phyrexian Altar, or even Earthcraft.

If you wanted to take the deck in a combat-oriented direction, Avenger of Zendikar, Champion of Lambholt, and Craterhoof Behemoth are good includes.

I purposely did not include control-style elements like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, but those would also be good upgrades.

Combo Lines

1) Slimefoot, the Stowaway + Illusionist's Bracers + Ashnod's Altar

Equip the Bracers to Slimefoot and activate his ability for two tokens. Sacrifice the tokens to the altar for four mana, then repeat. Slimefoot's ability will ping your opponents' life, winning the game.

2) Slimefoot, the Stowaway + Parallel Lives + Ashnod's Altar

Same as above, but Parallel Lives does the work of making two tokens on activation.

3) Slimefoot, the Stowaway + Parallel Lives + Pitiless Plunderer + Sac Outlet

Same again, but when each creature token dies, Parallel Lives causes the Plunderer to create two treasure tokens, thus netting the requisite four mana for Slimefoot's activated ability.

4) Sporemound + Life and Limb + Sac Outlet (to stop the chain)

This is a recursive infinite chain, and you'll need a way to stop it once it starts.
