Ruxa Unstoppable EDH

Commander / EDH Mono-Green

You need to consider Ruxa, Patient Professor more as an "Enchantment" than an actual creature.

Classic mono green ramp:

  • you want to play 5+cmc cards as fast as possible.
  • 2 pure vanilla cards are enough ( Gigantosaurus , Garruk's Gorehorn ), Ruxa can return them to your hand.
  • Other 5+ cmc cards have token generator effects that gain value from Ruxa, deck contains huge treat monsters and token generators to maintain pressure.

Pure vanilla wins early or 1v1 but loses on the long term.

This is an "hybrid" build that cover your entire match. Your purpose is to be the biggest player out, in other words you need to ramp to gain an maintain advantage. Ruxa, Patient Professor is an immense buff to all your token/vanilla creatures and you need your commander only on the damage side. Your commander is more a bait than an actual "core-strategy", you can play without him out but he helps alot in different situations.

+1 if you liked it, thanks. comments appreciated!

Have fun.
