A couple of quick notes on the build so far:

  • The Theros Gods play out very well here. They're resilient against creature-based wraths, I can still cast them with Nikya out, many of them have mana sinks attached to them, and the high creature count means their devotion counts are usually met.

  • There's an intentional sub-theme of activated abilities and other mana sinks so I can continue utilizing my huge amounts of mana even if I can't/don't draw impactful creatures. Examples include: Captivating Crew, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa, Rogue's Passage and Kessig Wolf Run.

  • The few noncreature permanents I run are cheap enough that I can deploy them to the field before casting Nikya. Also, I have a few ways of getting Nikya out of play if I really need to cast Primal Surge or an artifact or enchantment: High Market, Evolutionary Leap, Greater Good, and Temur Sabertooth

  • Normally, the deck wins via combat, but there are a couple of infinite combos for situations where combat can't cut it. For example, it can use Earthcraft + Temur Sabertooth + Avenger of Zendikar to generate infinite mana and then use many of the mana sinks to close the game. Aggravated Assault can also combo alongside mana dorks or land untappers for infinite combats or infinite mana.
