14th EDH Deck

Deck History

Rith has always been one of those decks with a better ability than the other Planar Chaos/Invasion dragons, the build is similar back when I first started making the deck. In the inception days Rith was created to abuse Seedborn Muse and use cards like Glare of the Subdial to out value other decks, with the recent revision it still does nearly the same with the exception of moving more towards a combo route. All in all a really fun deck to play around mid-tier pods. Now I welcome you Rith's Unstoppable Legion!

Deck Breakdown:

Creatures:

Ant Queen : Mana sink, produces creatures, able to make infinite tokens combined with a token doubler and mana producing effect.

Avacyn's Pilgrim : Mana dork.

Birds of Paradise : Best mana dork.

Craterhoof Behemoth : Game finisher, one of the few ways to end the game.

Dragonmaster Outcast : Makes free big ass dragon tokens, what can't you love about that?

Elvish Mystic : Mana dork.

Eternal Witness : Recursion on a body, can be tutored with GSZ, and also counts as permanent for Rith's ability.

Hanweir Garrison : Here more for flavor with Hanweir Battlements, however does create tokens and get get out of hand the longer it stays.

Heliod, God of the Sun : Mana sink, produces bodies although more expensive, also gives our creatures vigilance which can be a determining factor.

Jade Mage : Mana sink, not as efficient as Ant Queen but can net you quite a bit of tokens.

Llanowar Elves : OG mana dork.

Mirror Entity : Staple in any token win decks, can also be clutch protection against Toxic Deluge or it's ilk.

Nullmage Shepherd : Great card when you have multiple tokens, great synergy with Seedborn Muse .

Oracle of Mul Daya : Rith can get very mana hungry, provides filtering as well as mana advantage.

Purphoros, God of the Forge : One of the alternative ways to win aside from combat damage.

Reclamation Sage : Staple removal on a body, can be tutored with Chord or GSZ, all around stellar card.

Regal Force : One of the few card advantage options we have in these colors.

Rhys the Redeemed : Can lead to a crazy amount of synergy and also win the game, good start for token making.

Seedborn Muse : Broken card which can net you a stupid amount of token or value. Your go to card when you have a mana sink on the board.

Selesnya Guildmage : Mana sink as well as possible game finisher.

Tendershoot Dryad : One of my most favorite token makers in the game. Easily attainable blessing trigger and makes an absurd amount of tokens the longer it survives.

Enchantments:

Aggravated Assault : This card is two fold, can either add extra combat phase for the kill or can allow various lines for infinite mana and tokens.

Aura Shards : Staple card, your opponents definitely will not like this card.

Beastmaster's Ascension: Another game ender, makes your creatures and also dorks to huge beasts.

Concordant Crossroads : Haste is very important to us in this deck, don't drop unless absolutely need to.

Cryptolith Rites: Produces mana as well as allow us lines to go infinite token/mana. Needs haste in order for us to infinite however. A supposedly more fair version of Earthcraft .

Doubling Season : Does multiple things for us, mainly for the doubling token effect.

Earthcraft : This card has a couple lines for us to go infinite and synergizes with the whole deck.

Exploration : Fast ramp and extra plays allows us to go further than our opponents. Green card staple.

Fires of Yavimaya : Haste effect as well as buff in case of that random -X/-X spell.

Goblin Bombardment : Another way to win, as well as being super versatile in removing threats.

Growing Rites of Itlimoc  : Budget Gaea's Cradle , the dig for creatures is nice and we can trigger the flip quite easily.

Land Tax : Although we don't run much basics, the filtering is nice when all we want is just gas.

Mass Hysteria : See Concordant Crossroads .

Nature's Will : Good against those control players as well as untapping our lands.

Parallel Lives : Core card to allow us to go infinite in combination of other cards.

Squirrel Nest : Good card to make tokens overall, combined with Earthcraft to make infinite tokens.

Sylvan Library : Staple card. Best card draw available in our colors.

Artifacts:

Ashnod's Altar : Sac outlet to produce an exorbitant amount of mana.

Sensei's Divining Top : Filtering our draws is quite important.

Skullclamp : A must to refill our hands.

Sol Ring : Staple card, must be included in almost all decks.

Instants:

Artifact Mutation : Although it's specific, it nets us tokens which is vital to our strategies.

Aura Mutation : Same as above.

Beast Within : One of the best removal in green.

Boros Charm : Clutch card that can save you or kill someone.

Chord of Calling : Highly versatile card that can pull any creature from your library.

Eladamri's Call : One of the few tutor we have accessible to us.

Enlightened Tutor : Staple card, gives us options to grab many things.

Krosan Grip : Staple card. A must have in all decks running green. Split Second is a thing, a very good thing.

Nature's Claim : One drop removal? Yes please.

Path to Exile : The ramp they get should not matter to the threat you just removed.

Swords to Plowshares : Classic removal.

Worldly Tutor : Versatile card for us.

Sorceries:

Gamble : Sadly enough this is the best tutor we have in our colors to grab any card.

Green Sun's Zenith : Useful at any part of the game.

Shamanic Revelation : Our few ways to draw card. The life gain can be relevant.

Tempt with Vengeance : Burst tokens and can be a way to win when combined with other cards.

Triumph of the Hordes : One of our ways to kill a lot of people with the minimal amount of creatures.

Vandalblast : A lot of my meta runs plenty of artifacts, more of a meta call.

Planeswalkers:

Chandra, Torch of Defiance : All abilities are relevant, used mostly for the mana production as well as the card advantage.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion : Our best planeswalker in this deck, gives us tokens, can wipe the board of threats, as well as giving us a buff.

Garruk Wildspeaker : Almost as good as Elspeth, Garruk's ult can be another way for us to win.

Xenagos, the Reveler : Mainly used to produce mana, never used for his ult.

I am looking to improve Rith to be more efficient as he is currently still a bit too slow for my liking. If you have any ideas or comment please feel free to let me know so I can improve Rith more!
